I used to have a really strong stance on my political views, and while I still do, I am not as open about them now as I used to be, several people took me off of facebook because of my views, and they didn't agree with what I posted, so they would rather cut ties than read my posts.. I guess.. Good riddance.
Yep I am trying every so often to just -- LET IT GO.... Let It Goooo--- (frozen song here) -- and with any friends I actually know I let it slide-- there is a vouple friends of friends that stick in my craw! but mostly I don't care what they think.
I’m a mixed up conservative progressive with mostly middle of the road views. I really dislike mean hateful stuff that tries to pass as a political position. Name calling really sticks in my craw.
never did understand why we use labels, to describe someone, for instance ,
oh look there's a gay person or black person or any other label
why do you have to point out a persons sexual preference for god sake
a few years back i was in a coffee shop with some friends our waitress was real attentive
making sure she was earning her tip, my male friend made a comment about how nice looking one of the
waitresses was and taking taking good care of her tables to which her 30 yo daughter which one ? the
young black lady Dad said....well.... DAD!!!!! you can't say that !! that's racist!! ?
My friend does NOT mince words and said to his daughter , it's time for you to grow up !!
end of conversation !!
iirc, an old saying , goes something along the lines of sticks and stones...... still holds true today
Not quite sure where it will end but it will.... but we shall see
Wonder what it costs to get a grenade launcher-- they have warning labels----- I looked it up-- A rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) launcher cost $900 last March and a single grenade was priced at around $100. Today an RPG launcher is worth $2,000 and each grenade $500--- don't know what the license cost though
Long time ago I wanted a full auto firearm. The tax stamp was $2500. Then you had to find a class 3 dealer to buy from. Right now you are looking at near 20k for a M16. Then local regs said you had to have a store front to keep it. Of course you had to have the safe secured and an alarm system. I have no idea what you would have to do to be able to have explosives like a RPG or grenade. The full auto you can take out and shoot. The RPG or grenade would just set and you would just look at it. Unless something blows up and then you would have to show you still had it.
A couple of years ago, my neighbor (a police officer) asked me to build a bomb. (not explosive, but a tricked out box with booby traps and switches, and instead of an explosive, it would contain a pezio tweeter to let the bomb diffuser know he had just lost a leg, or arm, or life.
