SO- I saw a vide where some protesters threw a rock or something at a car-- the guy backed up-- got out and the kids started screaming call the police -- Um you broke the law- you are prtesting police-- now you want police protection-- I didn't see the ending don't know if the guy beat them up or what.
Interesting the mindset of this generation of protesters, the herd mentality of just follow the herd is just that.
not trying to start a firestorm here, but, what do these people expect if there is total lawlessness? Im probably completely wrong here, but, if I were a police officer in any of the cities that have total and complete disrespect, spitting or throwing bottles or whatever and then being told to stand down, I would walk away never to return.
Let them reap what they are sowing.
Me cynical? You bet 100%
Quick search, 146 officers = +/- 19% of the police force.
as a law abiding citizen I respect police officers and what they do.. tough job for sure.
A little off topic, but, back in the day weren't county sheriff's the law of the land?
When I lived in a small town in Nevada I donated every year to the local sheriff's posse.
Great bunch of guys.
If they defund the police for a city, and they successfully get it done, we should build a wall around it. No one in, no one out. only supplies. The city governs itself, and polices itself, while the rest of the world watches society fall apart on the inside. 24 hour coverage of how they have become animals and terrorists.
SO somebody posted on FB that not all trump supporters think trump is a racist- but they think it doesn't matter"-- I am not sure if they are saying Trump is a racist and that doesn't matter-- Or Trump is a racist and Race doesn't matter.---OR all trump supports do not care about race relations? I am not sure what tot think, about it.-- Donald trump was not my first choice for a candidate by a long ways) -- I liked Ben Carson-- I still do-- But calling all supporters of 1 candidate racist doesn't seem quite fair in the scheme of things. Maybe my definition of racist is what I think it is? I think it mean hate for somone of a certain ethnicity. There are racist Whites-- and Blacks-- Yellow-- Brown-- There seems to be little to know respect anymore-- not toward anyone. I am glad I live in the Midwest where there is more respect overall-- Its not perfect but at least its livable.
I think people look for reasons to be offended. Words that hurt your feelings are just words. If I am having a good hearted conversation with you (reads anyone) and I say something that hurts your feelings, its ok to let me know, so that I don't do it again. Perhaps something I said was said in good faith, and was misunderstood, or maybe I said something wrong and didn't mean to. One thing for sure is if I say something wrong on purpose, I am also going to say a bunch of more wrong stuff with it just to make a point, or upset you on purpose and that is the road we are going to continue to go down for a long time. There is no reason to expect the worst out of everyone and just wait for them to say something that triggers you. Sometimes people say something to me that catches me by surprise, and I often dismiss it, because everyone is entitled to an opinion, or I figure that (for example) 90% of this conversation was very pleasant, and I am not going to stop liking this person over the 10% of the conversation that I disagreed with, unless that 10% is talking bad about my family or good friends.
