Bob, Looks like the weather is going to cooperate with loading the truck today. However, rain is supposed to roll in tonight, and tomorrow isn't going to be nice either. Once I'm done with work here, I'll text you and head on over.
Went by Bob's house last night. It's almost cleared out. Met his buddy from Missouri and grabbed a bite to eat. I got there just in time to load up the tool box.
It's over cast here, but not raining right now. Looks like we got the majority of it over night.
So I got to the line at the pit and realized that my front end wasn't pulling, I assume spider gears but not positive.
Get almost home, and the trailer jumps up and then slams down. Passenger side rear tire on the trailer broke every stud off of it. Guess the only good in that is it did it when I slowed to turn on my road and not a few seconds before at 60mph, or earlier today at 75-80.
ANy idea what would have caused all the studs to break off?
Glad it happened at slow speeds near the house. I'd hate to have seen that happen at high speeds. Could have caused a lot more damage.
When I hooked up to my little 6x12 trailer yesterday to haul off some yard stuff to the landfill, i was amazed again at how well that thing tracked and rode. Completely different from my Leonard 7X16 trailer. I know most people don't but I think the leonard is going to get it's tires balanced before I have to haul it a long way. It vibrates way too much at 45 and just is absoultly annoying to tow. I expected it to be better than the little trailer since it's a Leonard.
Whats up fellers.
We're not near settled in yet, but we're getting there. We have Shari's office mostly put together so she can start back to work tomorrow. Tomorrow morning I'm going out to see Ka'Bluey at my buddy's shop in Sparta Mo, then on to get m hair cut at the little town barber I went to for several years.
The trip out here went great, other than leaving in a partly sunny, 80 degree day, and getting out of the truck somewhere in Tennessee and it's 47 degrees dark and windy. That was the first time I've had chills since we left Missouri almost 5 years ago.
Rocky did great in the truck. He did wine a little bit after we rolled the windows up and he couldn't hang his head out.
