Whats up fellers!
Funny you are talking about weed eaters. Mine failed the "Slammy" test tonight.
Guess its time for a new one, and it wont be another Stihl.
Hope everybody is doing well.
Marty, thanks for calling the other night and checking on us.
We're still working on getting un packed, but we're getting there.

from the pics it looks like you bought the cheaper "home owner" version.. (color scheme gives it away).. theyve got frequent complaints of the shafts bending on the bump to feed... the professional series has stronger shafts and dont bend..
btw.. just out of curiosity... does the motor itself still work on that???
I rarely get out the weed wacker, unless they are really tall. But i did get out the riding mower. Was able to bend the blade on it and noticed that was burning oil. Dang thing only has 115 hours on it.
my problem with that is the steep banks near the end of the property enough to tip the mower over.. and the outer lying objects i cant get close enough with the mower... close to the house i have electric ones to take care of there..

Shaft bending trying to feed more line out. I don't think so, I slammed it pretty hard a few times. And no it doesn't run, that's why I slammed it to the garage floor.

I don't believe it, Bob. You'd never do anything like that.

ahh.. that was just the reports id heard on the home owners versions.. people would be doing the bump to feed line and the shafts would bend..
Darn i was hoping if the motor was still running i could have bought it from you to fix my other that blew the head on it..
