Good morning, NC!

Fairfax is actually a pretty good hike from here, since it's in the northern part of the state. I'm right next to Martinsville, right on the state line. I'm actually looking into transitioning into a teaching career myself

I'll have to check out one of these dinners sometime, if it's not too far. Are they always on Wednesdays? I ask because for me, Wednesday night is typically band practice night.

The dinners end up being what ever day during the week works best for everyone that can make it. Watch the dinner thread and beginning of every month it's open up for suggestions.

We've been in High Point and Winston. That's about an hour and a half + for me.
How long of a ride would that be for you?

An old friend passed away on Friday. The service is today. I hope the rain stops before then.

Thanks Marty. She was like a second Mother to me, since high school. I spent many nights over there, and always stop in for a cup of coffee. She left behind her husband of 50 years. He was the first person to teach me about working on trucks, and Fords. He had the crayola truck, an old 70's ford that covered the entire spectrum of a crayon box. Complete with a sheet of plywood in the bed and 4 bald tires.
