In the meantime I have installed the brand new Classic Instruments Gauge Cluster, now I just have to hook up the wires.
Thank you.
There are a lot of nice aftermarket Gauge Cluster for the 56 available, but I like the original design best, yes, I think the original 56 instrument unit is very nice.
The movie was "Untamed Youth" made in 1957.
There are several 56 trucks in the movie, one with no exterior mirror, one with the little chrome mirror and one with a mirror on a stock arm.
Just got my carpet from Rockauto and has the same creases too, i’ve used the steamer in the past when installing in my Mustangs, works perfect just be careful. The nozzle gets really hot, but it definitely does the job. Nice, now I have something to do over four-day weekend.

yes that's the movie! The birds movie has a light green long bed
also I just want to point out that all the pics that Abe posted only the big window has door trim. Custom cabs alone did not come with the door trim. Only big window trucks. So the interior shot you can see the door says custom cab AND has the stainless around the door glass opening making it a big window as shown in one of the other shots
Interesting, Kevin. So the truck with guy and girl is a Custom Cab with the BBW. The truck with the driver with the hat is a Custom Cab but a SBW and the one without a mirror is a Standard Cab.

That is correct
Isn't it a great day to learn something new lol
