I don't understand how adding the frame work you did makes the frame any stiffer then boxing in the frame itself. Just seems like a lot of work instead of boxing in the frame.

of course i will box it additionally ...read the thread a couple posts above
Frame reinforcement with K-Member and boxing is almost done now.
so i started locating the LMC Truck Gastank
i didn´t want to fill the Gastank at the Bedfloor and i did not want to cut holes in Fenders and Bed sides.
I will raise the bed floor and put the Fillerneck behind the befloor, underneath, hidden from the Tailgate.
Hi Ingo, what a job! That truck can withstand a fight against a Leopard tank . Looks very strong. Good to see, you’re making progress. Keep going and always let the pics coming...Hope to see you soon - after that COVID nightmare. Stay healthy mate!
Hey Rico,
thanks.
Yes i hope it will be strong enough, it has to handle Big Block Torque, so i wanted to build it strong, espacially since i found that crack in the Frame.
Have yoo checked your Chassis? I noticed that Frame cracks not so seldom.
Yes i too hope to see you and your Ranchero soon.
ingo,
Just amazing work you do! I do not understand the concept of no tools or junk laying on the floor? Very strange! Really enjoyed the thread. You take your projects to a level way beyond where my brain can go! The COE is really nice too! Thanks for taking us on this adventure!
Regards,
Chris

Thanks for the comliments.
started working on the new Perimeter Bed i got form Midwest Early Ford.
Put tubs in for wider wheels.
raised the bedfloor with 1" X 1" tubing.
I built two frames, one i welded to the bed and the second one is for the tilt bedfloor for getting access to the gastank and the battery underneath.
