There is a difference between "lifting" a truck and simply building one that is taller. You could be right. But likewise, if the measurement is wrong in Ford's book regarding the 2017's, it could also be wrong for the 2016's. I suspect it is actually dead-on for both, but measured using identical XL trucks with 17" tires. I'm headed up to the dealer later tonight, and will attempt to measure two identical 2016/2017 trucks as accurately as possible.
One thing really bugs me on these competitions. They never use the M mode for the transmission.
I know without any doubt that I can select my gear and when to shift and tow up grades smoother and hold speeds better than the auto shift strategy uses. The system always shifts too late, holds the wrong rpm, and spins the torque converter too long. Do the same run in M you'll get more boost and stay in the power sweet spot.
