Were they towing all trucks in cruise Control? If the ford had Adaptive cruise, that would effect the times quite a bit. It can take quite a bit for the adaptive cruise to get back up to speed even empty.

Ok, seems something is up. But it looked like every time they showed the cluster that the speed was 60mph. did anyone else notice that? but I thought heard them say they had a difficult time maintaining 40? doesn't sound right

They only showed the cluster once on the way up. The speedo was sitting right on 40. Here is the screenshot:
On a long trip the difference of a few seconds here and there really makes very little difference.
People put too much emphasis on power.
Want to make up the difference in a slower truck on climbs on a trip then drive 0.1 MPH faster on the flats and downhills and at the end of the day the trips done in the same time as a more powerful truck.
Because every uphill has a downhill and yet we still spend more time driving on relatively flat roads than we do on steep hills.
And i will reference that by saying that anything under 2% grade i consider basically a level roadway.
Where are the 2017 6.7 real world Dyno tests?
I've seen a GM. test, but have not seen a Ford or Ram.
They're all within a row of apple trees.
Pretty awesome trucks.
Trouble free ownership is probably the most
important feature to have IMHO.
What was the ambient temperature when each truck was tested? Same day or different days? Humidity? Was the Ford still in factory mode? (My dealer told me that all the trucks they get come in a detuned "factory mode" until the dealer removes this.) Something's fishy for sure.
If it's in factory mode or whatever the official term is, the truck is also limited to a certain top speed. You'd think someone would notice that before the test? I agree something is off though. Especially since the last test, the SD did so much better vs. the Ram. I wonder if this truck just happens to be a "bad one?" It happens. Underpowered vehicles are a percentage of total builds. I've bought identical vehicles to friends in the past and one was always consistently faster/more powerful. Once it was a significant difference. (Happened to be mine.) Nothing wrong with it but certainly wasn't fun to have the dog.
I get that there are some that don't get the competition aspect of this whole thing and don't care how fast a truck makes it up the hill, but most of us have a competitive side and, for whatever reason, Ford seems to be the brand that is always knocked on.
I paid $75k to have the best truck, these results show that the Ford is not the best performing truck, which takes the wind out of the sails of a guy like me.
saying things like "I don't care if I'm the last one up the hill" is something guys say when they came in last. This truck should have dominated this competition, the drivetrain was built for this, but that truck fell on it's face for some reason. That's not a good sign.
Can't wait to get heckled now that this video is out.
Heckled by who? Most hecklers are fanboys driving a 15 year old clapped out half ton of their respective brand. I think most guys buying these trucks are a bit more mature than that.
