Once my truck arrives I will immediately be installing a tonneau cover. I am leaning heavily to the tri-fold style, as I have had them on a couple other trucks and they work very well. On the Ford accessories site, there are a couple different 'soft' versions, one is pleather, the other is canvas. Then they have a hard folding version. Curious is anyone has any experience with any of them?
Post pictures if you got them!
Yes, there are some latches at the front with some nylon straps that you can secure it with. You can also rest it against the window and prop/lock it with two rods that are under the rail of the cover. and if you need to remove it, it is really easy. made of aluminum.
You can see the two latches towards the front of the bed in the picture.
I put the extang encore on mainly because it is low profile and the front of it can be locked and unlocked to access the front of the bed without opening the cover all the way. the key fob key will work contrary to what the instructions say. I can post a picture later if you would like
Before you buy look at the Fold A Cover website and watch the video they have comparing theirs to the Bak Flip. I bought the Fold A Cover for my '16 F350 dually and am very glad I did as we got caught in a 350 mile rain storm with a bed load of Christmas presents.......not a drop of water. This is due to the tonneau is wide and sits on top of the bed rails, has locks on both ends and you can open the tailgate without flipping the last panel..... anyway look at their video.
I have had a BakFlip G2 on my 2009 F250 for the past 6 years and it has worked well. For the 2017 expected in 2 weeks I placed an order for the BakFlip MX4 as I like to shut the tailgate with the cover closed and the finish is more appealing. It is also aluminum.

Thanks!
I'm putting the Diamond Back H. D. on mine when it comes in. They are expensive but there is nothing that can compare to it. I don't have pictures but lots of videos on YouTube. I would strongly suggest checking them out before buying something else and regretting it.
