I see all kinds of cool covers her and from your experience.........
I put in a Lance Slide in camper in the bed for trips about 5 times a year. Sometimes I hall some big stuff in a spur of the moment for work, so I do not want any type of hard cover or one that I have to plan its removal prior to work every day. 70% of the time the bed may be empty enough that a cover would be nice.
I would like a cover that A. rolls up and doesn't have to be removed when the camper is put in, or B a cover that easily comes off and it's mounting hardware can stay without interfering with the camper.
Suggestions?
I'm still stuck on what to get for my truck. Those retrax covers are nice, but out of my price range. I initially thought of the hard folding, but I would have to completely remove it to utilize the upper camera for th wheel hook-up. And that may be tricky without help.
My second choice was a hard rolling. But I've read many negative comments about the performance in winter (Canada) that I don't think I want that now.
So maybe a soft tri-fold is my only option as at least I can easily remove it by myself. We have one on the Wife's GMC without any issues.
I had a little trouble with my Retrax when it was shipped. One rail was damaged and the front cover piece was a half inch short. They were very good at shipping out the replacements though. No biggie. It happens.

I'm getting a Retrax Pro MX, but seriously considered the BakFlip F1. I see that you have a longbed. You shouldn't have any problem leaving the cover folded up, but on the bed (vs against the window) and hookup / tow a fifth wheel. I think the visibility issue hooking up with a folding tonneau is for the short-bed crowd.
