It is a matte finish and I don't remember even having an option to choose. Very happy with it and it has handled lots of bird crap very well. It doesn't come with the seal automatically. You have to order it separately and I suggest you do. It doesn't interfere with anything and provides a great dust seal. I didn't install the seal right away and was noticing an inordinate about of silty dust in the bed. When the cover is closed there is a vacuum behind the tailgate and it naturally draws in dust. So on went the seal and 90 % of the dust is gone. It also seals against water really well also. My bed is 6 foot 8 inch and the cover does not interfere with the box link tie downs. The cover box up against the bed blocks the bolted on tie downs in the corners.
Excellent, thanks again for the info.
For those with the soft covers, are you concerned about people using a knife to cut into it to gain access? That's why I like the hard cover with the locking tailgate. No thief proof, but does deter them a little more.
I just ordered my 8' Retrax Pro MX from TonneauCovered.com. $1699.99 delivered. I'm getting a Linex (w/ UV) sprayed in on Tuesday, and will install the cover shortly after.
Ordered a Retrax Powertrax Pro MX this week so it should be here before my truck. Was quoted a few different install prices and then decided to use the beer and pizza method. That didn't work out, so I am now up to whiskey and steaks, but I know we will do a good job on the install and it will still cost me a lot less than paying a shop to do it!
Now I just have to convince my friends that the powertrax needs top be finished before the whiskey gets opened...
Ordered my Retrax Powertrax MX Pro today. I'll let you know how the install goes as soon as I have a truck to install it on...

Awesome choices fellas. Don't forget to watch the install video, makes this install about an easy hour. When Installing; Don't forget to pull out at least 8in of the cover when you start it in the rails, otherwise you install the rail with the roller retract stop posts being in front of the tonneau. Don't ask me how I know this!
Retrax Pro MX have an available tool box? Anybody with one have a slick solution? Would be nice if weather guard had a set top box we could use.
I don't believe they do. The only hard covered option I've found is the Extang Solid Fold 2.0 Toolbox model, and it's plastic. I really wish Retrax had a toolbox option.
Just installed the Lund 95850 Genesis Elite Tri-Fold Tonneau Cover. $268 from Amazon. This cover is pretty simple and serves all of my needs. I just wanted something to keep my hitch and tool box dry and out of sight. I had to stay away from covers that needed a mount along the bedrail, because my fifth wheel pin box come close to my bed rail.
Just wanted to share in case someone was looking for a lower end cover. I had one of these on my previous truck for about two years and was very happy with the quality.
