I would say there is a pretty good chance the chip was loose before so hitting bumps and stuff may have been part of your issues before. A loose chip will cause stalling or shutting off.
However, if you're still not getting power to fuse number 9 and 22, you need to diagnose that first. No matter what potential other issue there may be, it will not start without power to fuse 9 and 22.
I don't know the wiring off hand but you may want to check for chafed or broken wiring and make sure you are getting power to those fuses.
sorry. i DO have power to both sockets. (#9and #22)
i do agree with the chip being loose part. if you look at the pic i sent earlier the tape was torn.
What does "still nothing" mean? Are you still not getting a WTS light? If that's the case, that has nothing to do with the CPS.
You should also check for power at the relevant terminals on the PCM connector. That ^^^^^ diagram doesn't cover the whole connector; if I don't spaz on it, I'll check my EVTM later tonight to find out which terminals on the PCM connector are for power.
Did you try the PCM from this truck in one of your other working trucks, just to see if it lights up the WTS? Or if it runs another truck?

"Still mothing" means still no WTS and no start.
I took a PCM out of my daily driver and tried it.
Still no WTS znd no start.
Try taking the IDM out and and putting it in the other truck. See if the other truck has the same problem. Don't put the IDM out of your other truck in this one.
You say that you have power to fuses #8 and #22, but have you tested to see if you have power coming out of these fuses? You may have to remove the under hood fuse panel and test the sockets to make sure the sockets are grabbing the fuse blades. My son's early 99 quit one day. Long story short, after 2 days of searching for the problem, he found the socket for the #8 fuse had spread, and the load side of the fuse was not making contact with the fuse blade. My code reader would not power up out of the data port, as that fuse also supplies power to the data port.

this is the first ive heard about the IDM. yes i will try that tommow morning.
So does the IDM have anything to do with the WTS light not coming on?

It could be possible if something shorted out in it. Put the PCM back in the other truck and make sure it still works before you try the IDM. May have burned it up too. Never put known good parts in a truck with an electrical issue. Always put parts from the truck with the issue in another truck to test. If something did in fact burn up the PCM, then whatever burned in up could have burned up the other one.
ok ive been at it all morning.
Both the IDM and the PCM both check out perfect. They both work in each truck. I even checked to see if the WTS light bulb was burnt.
Where do i turn to next? Any fuses in the cab i need to worry about?
The only thing i havnt done is check the red wire at the PCM.
can someone let me know how to do that.
im using the "crank no start troubleshoot chart"
