With the size of our yards in this area, I can't imagine someone with a truck longer than 22'. My dump truck was 22' and it was a nightmare to park in back. I only have about 18' of room in back so that will be the biggest selling point LOL.
Being small also has it`s advantages. Our house is fairly small so it saves us money with furniture and appliances. A good thing there is a full basement but now it sees little use after the kids have left home.
The guy/ jerk that wants the motor and transmission showed up today, have his money, tomorrow he gets his motor, the guy is still a jerk. His identical to mine truck is a 84 F250 with a 302, his headache now not mine as I let him know what he's getting into.
Taking a rootbeer break, almost warm enough for ice cream.
It was in the 79 f350 srw that got written off by a drunk driver 2 years ago. The truck has been a cash cow since I bought it, with insurance I was about 800 into it and its paid back about 2500. I paid 325 for it, called it an air compressor and got the last 385 of grant money that was due to me, that's how this truck deal got started. Lol
The 351m was fords revision on the cleveland and they used it in heavy cars and light duty trucks at times, not that good a motor. The 400 was it's restroked big brother and it was used in trucks. Thanks to the oil embargo and pollution control the 400 was only a power house the first year of it's production life. It got a 'smog' cam and the timing was retarded 4* and it became a f350 motor and was used in Ranchero's and Marquis. It's first year #s were 210 hp and 325 tq on a 2 bbl. Your much better off with the 351w as you can get somewhat sick and twisted with them due to parts availability, the 351m is a boat anchor unless you have a 400 crank laying around. The 400 can be made to produce 400 hp and 450 tq and still look like a stock 400 with headers and a big air cleaner. Good for sucker racing.
Got my yard levelled and seeded, Got the $160 towing bill from 10 days ago back and as a bonus I can register at least 1 of the trucks before the month end without going to the bank. Not to bad a day as I just got a call for a small job that will cover my dump fees on Friday and hopefully the free seats that are in the jobsite area will still be available for pickup. Some days just turn out to be so cherry.
