Did some cleaning up in the shop this afternoon and replaced a light fixture that had a bad ballast ...
I spent some time today working on my 53 M100 resto rod, a few more pieces of the puzzle got put on today.
It was almost cool enough to put the heat on in my shop tonight.
I haven`t had a lot to do with a 351 W and even less with a 351 M, I`ve had mostly 360/390 and 289/302 engines.
I have to level out some ruts from this spring soon, my back will thank me when I`m cutting grass.
Good to hear your day turned out to be so good Perry, mine was pretty good too.
I like to add up my day at supper time to see where I'm at and most days are on the positive side.
Good thing my yard isn't big enough for me to put ruts in it.
Tomorrow I get to wrestle with this motor, shouldn't be to bad of a deal with the engine hoist and snowmobile dollies.

You need a Bobcat Perry for moving motors and heavy stuff, I`d be totally lost without mine as I use it almost daily.
Spent 3 hours getting the motor out and to the edge of the property line and this moron shows up 15 minutes before I'm done with a wrecker truck and no, don't picture a tow truck, it was a wrecking yard special. I broke down the hoist and told him he could drive into the neighbors open driveway and back into my place and pick it up, that was to normal for him. He decided to drag it into the alley and chain it to his wheel bar while it hung from his cable and drove off, the brain power of beer.
When I pull a motor all the holes get plugged, transmission included and its a sealed unit. When I move them around I make sure nothing gets damaged and they get hung properly from the hoist, everything gets looked after so that its fully functional when its time to put it back into service. I just do not belong in this town.
A bobcat would be nice Morris but I might wind up using it for population control LOL.
As the parts go back on my truck and other projects come together my shop is getting cleaner too.....slowly.
A wrecker truck, you mean a wreck waiting to happen Perry.
Bobcats move too slow for any kind of population control, at only 20 kms an hr top speed they don`t pose much of a problem.
Looking like a nice day, was going to pick up tie down anchors but by the time I added up the costs and time involved my mind got changed, dug out a 7/8 wood bit and drill and drilled 36 holes in the wood side walls instead. Whole lot cheaper and only took an hour.
At 20 kph I could have gotten rid of about 20 of these redneck zombies on the trip to the bank and back yesterday, our main thorough fare is a construction zone right now so it would have been easy pickings.
Small block motors top out at about 500 pounds, unfortunately I only have 1 and it got pulled transmission and all in one unit, due most of my pulls that way. Last pull was everything from the rad to the transmission brake on a 460 zf5 combination and that was heavy as all the accessories were still attached.
Sounds like fun around your place tomorrow John.
Got what was left of my dump load on the truck and have it ready to go. Using my drill and wood bit saved me $160 and 2 days work putting tie downs on the truck, tomorrow is a puttering day until late when there is a small job to do. Saturday is dump day and whatever else that I have time for. Get to pick up seats for the small truck on monday, at my favorite price.
