It started out fairly nice here this morning but then the clouds rolled in.

A strong chance of rain but at least there`s nothing in the way of snow.

Seems that way here too, another late spring.

We had an icy wind all day that kept blowing down small gusts of snow flakes and sleet, not enough to do anything, just enough to keep the fingers cold, cold fingers day, got to take it easy.

Have a small step repair to do but keep having to put it off because it's a small concrete patch on a step edge and with the step being cold like this the patch won't take and will seperate in a day or 2 no matter how I reinforce it.

Went to the mail box and got a small resin shed assembly job for Sunday, these things sure use a lot of screws, its only a 3 x 6. I don't need to go to far or try to hard to pick up work.

Warmed up to 5° this afternoon and snow melting fairly good. Supposed to get up to 10° tomorrow so should see it really drop, at least I'm hoping. Backed the truck out of the shop this afternoon to change over the last 4 fixtures to LED's..

I have the running boards off right now and the handles and mirrors off the door and will be prepping to do the repaint soon on the doors and running boards and the box lid..

I would have driven it around the block if it wasn't for all the snow and the fact the box lid is just sitting on there..

John, your truck is coming a long very nicely!

Been a long time since I've been here. Lots has happened. Father in-law had his first heart attack just before Christmas, and just this week he had his second heart attack but he still alive. My wife and I bought a bed room set and Gardewine wanted $2000 to ship it all the way up here, and on top of that, they have a tendency to cause damage to things they ship (not just once in a while but every time!!). So for that price and the risk of our brand new bedroom set getting destroyed (which wasn't cheap, my wife has expensive taste haha), we ended finding a great deal on a brand new 6x10 enclosed trailer with a full 6' height that we used to haul our furniture. That trailer has proved itself very useful and was a great investment. Only regret is on my truck, with the 5.0 and 3.55 gears and running 275/70r18(33.4" tall) tires, the truck does not like to pull in 6th gear. So on my way home from my in-laws, the truck was using 25L/100km at 100km/h. So I bought a programmer for my truck, I made another trip earlier this month to go haul lumber and other non perishable goods. This trip with the programmer and running 91 octane fuel I was getting about 24L/100km at 110km/h. I know most of the gain was probably from the 91 octane but the truck also has noticeable more power too. In March, had a huge snow storm. It was so bad, they shut down the only highway in/out of town here. Also, my wife and I tried to go for a drive and I ended up getting our Explorer stuck on our street. Luckly, I was able to rock it out without needing to shovel or get pulled out. The wind was so bad, it blew over the tree in my back yard! We also ended up buying our first house just outside Winnipeg!! That way we no longer have to stay with my wife's parents when we go down to Winnipeg to stock up on cheap goods. So after being down in Winnipeg for a week and a half, we come back home, my wife drives her Explorer to work for a couple days (really short trips, about .2 of a km distance). Just this Wednesday, the battery dies. So I got it charged up but broke the pcv tube on the intake pipe trying to get the battery out... siliconed that back together and then go to take her spare tire off and because one of her tires got a flat just before we left to go to Winnipeg and then I found out the wheel studs are all stripped on the ends. So this weekend will involve me pulling all the tires off to inspect the wheel studs. and here are some pictures because everyone likes pictures.

Here is my little trailer

Here is the tree that has blown over from the storm

This is what the wheel studs look like on my wife's Explorer

Oh yeah, lots of fun John. And my summer project will include completely renovating the upstairs of our new house. Here are some pics from the listing.
