Went to the auction to see how the online bidding works and its good for the auctioneer but I'll check in later and review the prices.
Picked up 150 board feet of 2x4 and a 3/4 sheet of 3/4" plywood from the dumpster in front of his place so I saved $125. Its not what you spend that counts, its what you save that matters.
It`s pretty ironic that BC, Washington and Cal all need rain desperately with their forest fires out of control while you`ve had flooding this summer Shaun.
I like to recycle lumber as much as I can too, it saves trees and lumber ain`t cheap and it`s amazing what some peeps throw out.
How did your cross member install go today John? I had to really modify my inner fenders on my 53 resto rod tho I really hated to but there was no way around it. A month ago my good neighbour gave me an 87 and a 92 Grande Marquis cars. The 87 has the same front clip as on my 53 resto rod pus a good exhaust system that`s going on my 53. I still have a bit more to take off and now I`m thinking my sawzall is coming out tonight.
Nice to have lots of material on hand when doing a project Perry. I hate having to go to town for more material, that usually wastes half my day and most of my ambition.
That's a fast turn around John, figured it would be a week or 10 days to do it.
It makes this shed project a lot easier to do Morris when you see 2 piles of lumber instead of 1.
I haven't really been pushing myself too hard on this project and was waiting for new inside channels , the first ones they made were too wide to fit inside the frame rails they I ended up having to modify them so the motor mounts would work, then waiting for a day to paint everything. It was meant to be a winter project but now I'm hoping to get it back on the road before the end of the season and get an alignment so it's ready for next spring..

Cross member went in easy but took quite a bit of time trying to get the nuts on the bolts for the frame channels the motor mounts are welded to..
