I moved some snow around and emptied the big tool boxes so now there's pails and totes of tools all over the place and the tool boxes are empty. If it's not snowing in the morning then it's rassling match time to get these boxes into the shop, but at least then I can move the truck back to where it belongs and I'll be able to walk into the garage again.
We got maybe 3" at the most and it was mostly melted in the front of the house but the back yard was full of snow, it's supposed to snow tomorrow maybe but if it's not snowing by noon I'm moving this stuff into the garage and getting it out of my sight. The sooner it's in the shop the sooner that I can focus on finishing this stove and putting in the heating system, then I can build the work bench around the heating system. Was looking at my electrical box in the house and I've only got 70 amp service but theres only so much that I can run at one time anyway so it should be enough power.
It`s good that you didn`t get a lot of snow since you probably have more than enough already. A 70 amp service isn`t a lot, not sure what I have in my shop, likely a bit more than twice that and when the compressor cuts in the lights dim.
These tool boxes weren't that hard to get into the shop and after the race it's move the tools time, that might hurt as there's a lot of tools in this place.
Happy Saturday'all. Perry, at 70 amp's. you'll be running mighty thin with the shop. No A/C or Furnace, oven or a couple of appliances running. Your shop equipment will average 35 amps, not including start up on the motors (up to 50 amps) I have 200 amp service, and all my equipment (compressor, welder, pressure washer, and outdoor RV outlet) are running minimum 35 amp breakers. 50 amp for the compressor, and welder. If you work in the shop with your equipment, you'll have to make sure everything in the house, is off. Your panel in the shop will have to be minimum 50 amp.
I had a buddy, who'd blow the breaker while welding, when his fridge cut in, in the house. Good luck. Have a great day guy's.
I was thinking along the same lines last night Grant so I went online to see what my upgrade options were and it looks like it's 200 amps to the house and 100 amps to the shop. Time to call in an electrician and get an estimate on the cost. I can rough in the shop and be a helper but that's all, the rest I need to pay for .
I hear ya. Hopefully you have a buddy to increase the service. If you're renting, it would be a very good investment for your landlord. I'm thinking 2-3 grand for the service upgrade. If you rough in everything, then maybe a grand, not including the panel, and breaker's.
Hi Perry, how`s the race going? Drop those extra tools off at my place the next time when you`re in town .....I`m full up but to help you out I`ll make room.
I have a good with an electrical business, he dose my work very reasonably since stores his sleds and a few vehicles at my place.
Hello Grant, having a day at home or did you have to drop into work today?
I know a city inspector that does some upgrades on the side and know some people that are electricians, I want every thing to code and safe so that it won't mess with my insurance or burn down the house. I'm renting so I hope the landlord will cover some of the cost, landlord is a real estate company and they know I have a history of being a long term tenant .

I almost had to work, but got a hold of my bro to fax the inbound manifest to a driver. I faxed it last night to Post Falls, ID, but there fax machine took a dive. My bro resent it to Bonner's Ferry, ID. I was half way to work, when I found out he faxed it. A good time to fill the truck with gas, and wash it.
