Mark across the alley leaves out dry catfood and the alley cats clean that out on a regular basis, keeps them away from the cats door and out of my place. His free food program means that the skunks that show up set up they're den under his sheds and have their litters there, he can have them. lol

I had to deal with skunks wanting to eat my feral cats food, a good thing that skunks can`t climb like cats can so a fence inside the cat shed kept them out. The skunks tried digging to get inside but I laid down plywood just outside the fence and that discouraged them pretty quick.

The skunks come into town on a regular basis as we're on the edge of town, glad he puts out food and has openings under his sheds for them as it keeps them out of my yard.

Good afternoon folks.
Funny thing about skunks is that they don`t hibernate if there`s a good food source. I`ve heard that they do like mice. If Mark ever forgets to put food out they likely come over to your place looking for it.
It was dark and frosty morning here too Grant, it`s nice that the sun is trying to come out. Sad about the house up for sale soon but it has to be done.
Any sign of the ground hog Gerry?

My mom's house was bought new by my parent's in 1963. It's about 1200 sq ft. Our house is 1800 sq ft. 2 story. just enough for us. we also have a 1 acre yard, and live in a rural municipality. I would never move back into the city. We have 2 interested people that want to buy it privately. 1 has cash, but wants to low ball us. (want's to do a flip)The other is a retired fire chief, and wants it for his daughter. I'm leaning for the latter, but would like to move it quickly. My brother, sister, and I own the house (for the last 10 yrs). None of my sibling's want the house either. The outside has a new roof, windows, doors, evetrough's, and siding. Oversized 2 car garage, insulated, heated with 220v service. The inside is: That 70's show. Quiet bay in a very quiet part of the city. It will go quick.

He is a smart cat, he has turned out to be a real good pet. Even the wife is starting to like him or him her not sure how that goes. We have skunks around here to, usually somebodies dog is getting on riled up.

I hope every thing goes smooth with your mom's estate sale Grant.

When my Grampa died my mother took over the house and poured a lot of money into it, house was a diy by my Grampa in 1952. The value is in the property as it's on a corner and is big enough for a 12 plex. Dear old mother isn't capable of looking after it and never was.
I get to scare off the young skunks before they're old enough to spray but the mother comes around about midnight for her walk. Smart skunk as it hands out in either Kens yard or Marks.
