Iv'e got a couple of small tins full of old keys that I don't know what them are, most of them are for vehicles or house locks I don`t have any more. I sold my son a 98 Ranger and that key will turn the ign lock on his 2011 Ranger but with no chip it won`t start his.
Good to hear the transmission shifts like new, it would be a real bummer having to take it back out.
It wouldn't be such a pita to put in except for this 1 piece bell housing, everything has to be aligned before you can start putting it in. With a pan I can play with the release bearing and save some time and see what I'm doing when it gets to the clutch splines.
I'm used to being able to reach in and put on the release bearing and sliding the trans on a set of dowels, turning the yoke to line up the splines and in, with a 1 piece housing it's pretty much a blind shot all the way in.
I have assisted with installing a few tractor transmissions but never on a car or truck. The biggest problem with tractors is splitting them. Not as many bolts to undo as one would think though.
Happy Sunday mornin'all. Had to have my mom admitted last night to Palliative care at St Boniface hospital. She had 2 good weeks at home. This time, I think she won't come out. She's comfortable now, and they really take care of her. They even serve her brandy. Have a great day guy's.
I hear you Perry, in some ways the old days weren`t so bad.
I`m grateful that I never had to mess splitting with big tractors Colin, mainly I don`t have the equipment for that.
Back at you John, have a good day.
Sorry to hear about your mom taking a turn for the worse but I am glad they are taking good care of her....brandy is a nice touch!
Not a Happy Monday'all. My mother passed away last night. I sent Morris a message this morning. (If your wondering on condolences). She was sedated, and went without pain. Thanks for all your support. I means alot to me.
