good evening all... i wimped out today and didn't go to work..instead i went over to the VA and let em look at my leg.. i told my daughter i would go get it looked at when i could no longer get my shoes on.. ... the sucked some of my blood out and snapped a few xrays.. will see the doc again monday... i hope i will of healed before that..
good morning missouri.... cant tell how the temp is yet.. feels the same inside as it does outside..
been thinking of what i could do today.. there is going to be a small car show at theodosia- isabella airport-golf course complex.... ray thinks he will attend this one instead of the bakersfield one (that his car won last year). just to support a more local cars show.. i may even take something although i have nothing finished at this time.. it is close enough that i could drive the street rod or 'ole rip' and just have 2-3 miles of blacktop to worry about
here is a picture from the 'ozark county times' of last years car show... notice ray and bob (the local celebrities) standing in front of the blue 51 chevy we built.....
I hope this rain lets up. I have a tool box to move today. According to my all knowing phone at 10 am the showers are suppose to be over in my area.
I hate moving that box. Tall two piece is not the way to go for mobility! I'm considering in a few months getting one of the 72" harbor freight boxes and put mine on Craigslist.
when i worked in the offshore oilfields.. you had to be very mobile.. all your boxes had to be able to be loaded (most times by yourself) into a helicopter and be balanced .. not always easy to do.. so 5-8 small boxes were much better than a large box.. you learned how to organize your tools for the best use of space and weight
well i am heading back to the shop again.. i think i will just drive the flat-bump.. may even enter it in the car show... wonder if they will have a 'work truck' class..
NEVER FORGET!!
good morning missouri.. sounds like you have your day planned rich..
no plans yet, but what ever i do will be at the shop.. the car show yesterday was the worse i have ever seen.. all the advertising they did was a few handout's that i never even seen one.. no organization at all just 6 cars showed up.. the prizes were said to be 100.00 each for 2 classes.. at 10.00 ea. for the entry fee's that was 60 dollars, so not sure how that was handled .. rays car was by far the nicest and most customized car there .. the car class was won by a 2015 corvette (pure stock) the motorcycle class was won by a 2015 victory (pure stock) and just by coincidence were owned by a husband and wife.. so needless to say i will not be going back next year..
