i did not get the tire on your trailer fixed today it rained too much and the yard is way to soft to drive on.. i think i may be able to get it fixed by tomorrow or tuesday, then i can bring the trailer back to you if you still need it.. if not it will be after saturday when i get back from arkansas that i would be able to get back up to sparta..
I finally finished the 4Runner just as it was getting dark. That job was every bit of a pain in the keester that I expected it to be. Hopefully that's the last time I have to do that for a long, long time.
Time to kick back for a little while while the Advil kicks in before I hit the sack.
We (Penny and I) made it thru sunday with the grandson at Silver Dollar City. Wow I have not been there for about 30+ years. Fun new roller coasters for sure.
We had an amazing time at the Jamboree this weekend. It would take an hour of typing to tell everyone what happened. I did manage to meet and hang out with a few monster truck legends. Fil Tristan (who owns and built Titan Monster Truck) said to me as I was starting to unload with everyone else at the registration area, he says, "You're on the other side of the fence now. You own a monster truck. The rules don't apply to you anymore!" He had the officials escort me in the hauler across the fairgrounds, through the monster truck track and in to the pits! We set up next to the other teams and hung out with the Jeff "The Wildman" Cook, Fil Tristan, Joe Nichter and all the other teams. The whole thing was so surreal.
We had a couple trailer tire blow outs on the way home and some hauler issues before we left, but wow! What a weekend! We were also invited to the Hall of Fame induction banquet in November.
Well my first day back turning wrenches for a living went surprisingly well. Filled out a mountain of paperwork, diagnosed one of those famous intermittent noises, a missfire and check up on a Crown Vic turned into 5 hours worth of labor after upsells and left at the end of the day with a torn apart cardan joint that I will finish rebuilding in the morning.
Alan I seen the facebook videos, looks like a blast for sure. Congrats on being on that side of the fence now, your hard work got you there.
Now more 33's for the tube buggy, 37's now. Yes Alan they are still tiny compared to EQ's tires. But hay yours is a monster truck, it should have big tires.
Hung checked some Bronco fenders, to get a "feel" for them.
Sadly no, I have not haven't had the time to go anywhere with it. I would like to take it or the faded red Bronco to SMORR (1 hr 22 min one way), Disney Ok (2 hr 37 min one way), or some where like Flat Nasty (3 hrs one way). At least I have the xbro inlaws/neighbors 500 ish acres to have some fun on.
Good morning all. Rich, I have to be the odd man out, I like the tube frame. Alan, I actual logged onto the desktop at home just to check out your pictures...AWESOME!
Grill is to expensive it would need a new one every week , have Alan make one outa thin wall square tube like 1/4 x1" that would take a tree limb hit .Then trim the bottom half of the sheet metal off to show the tube ,frount wheel liners to keep the mud out of her face. and your gonna need a camera mount so we can see how much fun it is
