good morning missouri... rich i think some fender liners and fenders add the back half sheet metal off the 'parts bronco' with some sort of homemade grille ... then maybe a little pin* opps i mean faded red paint.. and it would look good..
i am getting ready to head down toward petit jean state park and auto museum, till saturady.. then i will be back and plan on hitting the shop hard for a few weeks to get a few things (like a pale blue ford 4x4) and other projects outta my way .... then i plan on a few weeks or months vacation time..
Morning all, RC all that sounds like work time I do not have. You know I have a red truck screaming at me to get done. You know what that sounds like don't you?
The more I want to add on it, the more I like Chips idea of just leaving it all tube. Have fun at petit and drive safe and SELL SELL SELL those Cummings head test blocks for what ever you can get. The more you sell them for, the higher your % goes up.
I'm slowly starting to grind forward in the shop. Everything is put away, the tools are cleaned, everything in it's place. I got a carb rebuilt this morning and I'm about 1/3 of the way done converting a sea-doo trailer in to a 12' X 7' utility trailer.
Morning folks, RC do not know if you will get this now or later but do you have the ph # of the guy that came down and bought your 48 Ford bed? I want to remind the guy that drove his down about that Army trailer bed he wants to buy.
Still selling tires to folks from the swap meet contacts. The front 35" TSL SX's and rear 35" boggers are gone off ol red this afternoon. No worries about replacements, I have a nice set of 39.5's to go back on when it is done.
Alan glad to hear you and the shop are making it. What is next project wise?
Morning all! I've been having internet issues etc for the past week or so. Hope everyone is OK.
Alan I need to get Bandit to you for the transmission switch. Not having a truck is taking its toll. Between having to have RC help me move all my vehicles to having my Dad bring multch and even sheets of plywood my little s10 could not carry....etc etc... Lol
New stuff done to house: landscaping, stained garage doors and front door in this pic
Rich. I need to finish up that trailer today, then get to work on a '69 Chevy truck resto, then the C-cab, then a guy is dropping off an S-10 for me to back halve next month. Somewhere in there I have to get Mongo ready to go to Indiana again in November, just in case I get invited to bring EQ to the Hall of Fame induction banquet.
Chip. There's still plenty to do, but I sure am looking forward to sitting by a fire at the lake this weekend. I have the trailer just about done. All the welding should be done today, then just spray some black at it tomorrow morning.
Morning . yesterday must have been trailer day ,i put a jack back on after a customer hooked it on a curb . Can you legally shoot some one for steeling fire wood . They took three box truck loads at 12 pm then 530 am came back .
I would just casually walk up and slash all four of their tires. When they ask why I did that, say it was a trade for the firewood. ....and by the way, you have 3 minutes to get off my property before I start beating all the glass out of your truck.
Well, it's official! I've been invited to bring Earthquake to the Hall of Fame induction banquet on November 11th. I better get cracking on getting Mongo more user friendly.
I neutered ol red yesterday, I sold the old mixed set of weather checked 35's TSL/SX's and Boggers and put 265's rollers on it. Yes Alan I know all baby size tires, and congrats on the invite to the big show.
At least I will not be have to jump into the cab when working on it, I will be able to lean into it. And maybe that will get me motivated to get back on working on it and get it finished. lol And then put a proper set of 39.5's I have in the tire shed.
Also that way I will get my concrete floor back, instead of working in the gravel. Hillbilly bug it loaded on the trailer for the Stockton parade tomorrow. Pics tomorrow.
