Supposed to be 104 here today.
Well, after doing some research on the internet, and talking with the doctor at the VA, it doesn't appear that what I have sis fleas. Or bed bugs for that matter. I don't know what they are, but after using all three cans of fogger yesterday (one in each bedroom, and one in the living room) and waking up at 4am this morning to turn on the AC (since I was drenched in sweat) I turned the light on, and grabbed the Raid spray can, and killed 54 bugs.
So obviously, whatever bugs they are, they were not affected by the foggers. I sprayed the recliner with the flea and bedbug spray I have and then left for the required 4 hours. When I sprayed the recliner, I counted an additional 10 more bugs.
The VA recommends I just throw out the recliner. I would love to do that, but that is where I sleep. And I don't have credit, so I don't know how I could get a new one to replace it. I have to get rid of it though, this is beyond ridiculous. Maybe I can sleep on the sofa in the bedroom. However, lately I have not been having good luck sleeping on flat surfaces, which is why I don't sleep in the bed.
I started the ball rolling at the VA to get a manual wheelchair so I can fold it up and put it in the trunk of the Thunderbird. Just need to wait for therapy to make an appointment so they can determine which one to send me. They will also hand deliver medication for the bug bites.
