Hell'uva night. Rains train'd for hours, 5-8 inches here in red Rankin Co.

Sad that the Lady Dogs fell, seems they were just tired & wore out from a season long fight.

Congrats to some classy girls even if they didn't make all the way.

Have a good week all.

We have folks living just below the reservoir & next to creeks complaining about being flooded... duh.

And folks around the reservoir complaining that the water is too high & can't use their dock... duh.

Unfortunately there are no public servants to step up & remind both sets that the Ross Barnett is NOT a flood control device as they have had the ***** to do so in years past.

Terribly afraid we're going to have the second (or is it third?) "hunnerd" year flood on the Pearl since 79'. (and over 3 & a half decades opportunity to DO something about it)

Everybody enjoying the March weather???

I got home last night, enjoyed a beautiful day today. Supposed to be nice throughout the weekend.

I vividly remember the Easter flood of '79, where I grew up and my Mom still lives is pretty close to the Pearl in Marion county, We never got water in the house, but were literally on an island. Anywhere there was a creek that was a tributary of the Pearl topped there banks and completely cut off Morgantown, Ms. lasted a good while too. Had a dairy farm at the time, had to BOAT the milk out in vat cans..... those were some long days.

Was living & working in S Jxn in 79. Jumped in my 73 Mustang & headed to 55 frontage Rd one night couple blocks over & went BOOOSHE where the street disappeared...

Seriously though, there are a lot of folk that don't deserve the heartache of flood (flash or otherwise) & those who should just flat know better.

There are drainage issues that cities/counties/states are responsible for & then there are the same things a owner & developer are responsible for.

Have watched the floodplain around Jxn get filled in/developed for years despite repeated warnings that the water has got to go SOMEWHERE.

OK... Off my soap box. Just comes to mind every April/Easter, particularly when I see folk bitchen' on the TV.

Have a good weekend.

Weathers beautiful.

What's happening Mississippi?!
Back offshore....didn't get a whole bunch of time in. Looks like business is picking up a little, hope its continues to do so, Lord knows we need it to around my neck-o-the woods. Enjoyed a few beautiful days at home though. Be nice if it could stay there year round!

Y'all have a good one!

Weather is still beautiful. Wish everything else was.

Terri & I are dealing with busy-body little tin gods of the city. (I.E., fake small government conservatives) & gentrification of our old Brandon middle class neighborhood.

Actual statement in zoning hearing by neighbor wishing to build ADDITIONAL HOME (Taj Mahall Ego House) on her next door lot to us:

"This will increase the VALUE of all the HORRID little houses on the street. You should be GLAD"...

Motion approved by "historical commission"

That we are sick does not even begin to describe it.

Hope all who pass are having a good week. Its rough here.

Lost an old friend who was a passenger in a car he shouldn't have been in Sunday night.

Whole group of us were'nt expected to make it this far anyway. RIP Jamie.

Sick to my stomach already from fighting city hall to keep Mc Mansion Jr. that violates multiple "guidelines" from sprouting like giant cancerous mushroom.

House will go dark at 2pm winter, 5pm summer. Will be like living next to Green Monster at Fenway Park & a real-estate-mogul-in-training staring down at us from her balcony.

Imagine 100ft x 24w x 35+ tall building starting behind red Lightning & blue 66 and going left. Less than 10 ft behind those pines...

Shirt was about $13 (Seen same in NPD catalog for close to $30) bought $2.50.

Lamp $89.99 ...$17.99

So Sorry to hear about your friend....Things like that are NEVER easy.

Nice Pics David, beautiful yard area...Trucks are nice too!
I'm still out in the Gulf, ready to finish up, the well just doesn't want to Cooperate though!

If I had some high faluting a**hole build that close to me, I could be really annoying!
