Hey, I know it's been a while... truck's been a "Hangar Queen" for about a year or so, finally got it running again. Found out she's got more problems than I'd thought.
Finally found the C7TZ-1408-A I was looking for, so I could actually USE the spare tire carrier... bolt was new... it shipped from Texas... had a retaining nut made at a local machine shop... went to install it and decided the other bolt also needed to be replaced (but it's pretty-much an off-the-shelf part, got the replacement at Orchard Supply)... the nut backed off so far, then wouldn't budge, so I went for the kill with my 36" bolt cutters... when the bolt gave, one handle of the bolt cutters smacked my right eyebrow and split it open... $26.60 taxi ride to the ER... the Dr. glued my forehead back together (I'm surprised he wasn't cracking jokes about bondo and new paint)... I don't think I have ever had a black eye this ugly... good thing I didn't lose my eye.
The other big news is that I claimed 20 acres in the Tahoe National Forest, about an hour and a half drive north of Auburn, near Camptonville. I'll be panning for gold a lot this summer!
Was looking at laminate tiles at Home Depot, but I would have to buy more than I need. 24 tiles. I only need 16. I would like to find one sheet four foot by four foot if possible, so I don't have the possibility of the edges pulling up and stabbing my feet.

I was thinking more of the vinyl floor laminate. It's meant to be walked on all the time, and a single piece could just be glued on. It normally comes in 12' rolls. There's always left-over when folks put it down in kitchens/baths. Think Congoleum.
I say North because I think "Northern" is a cop out. For me, there is no "Northern", there is no "Southern. It is North California, and South California. Period.

Hee hee! We're in the fog again this morning, which means the marine layer is at least 2500' thick. OAT is 46, and humidity is 97%. Wind from the south at ~~ 1 MPH. I was hoping to get some mowing done today, but with everything all wet outside, that may not be such a great idea. Maybe I should go back to bed!
