Well the other consideration is the red interior it was red with red interior when I bought it. I'm going to keep the red interior with black accents but would it look odd with the blue? I think that's too much clash between blue exterior and red interior. And I like chrome too but I do not want a huge chrome grill and the mirror brackets will be black too they are too much work to get chromed. I think the blue and chrome would look awesome and I have a buddy who will polish all the trim up for me. But the issue with keeping chrome is there will be none on the rear of the truck because the flat bed.
I would have also said blue but not with a red interior. I don't think that would look right. My '94 U150 was the darker red and it looked ok. I have owned three red vehicles (2 Mustangs and the Bronco) and I sold them all. I don't much care red so they end up not staying around for long.
Yes, It would IMO ...
You are basically stuck with red, with that I would go for the brighter/lighter one. (fender nose, not middle)
The reason, You are not going to be able to match the interior so it has to be further apart in the color range.
Add some Chrome marker lights to it, it only takes a little done right to make it pop!
As I already stated, I don't like the blacked out look ...
No real progress this week. Had to go to Ohio to see family, and since I was only 20 minutes away, I stopped at summit racing. Awesome showroom and a gear heads dream. I picked up a 4 inch down pipe from a cummins in the scratch and dear area for 30 bucks. For that price it will be close enough to work. Looks like I will need to get that engine soon as I'm running out of small parts to buy.
Not much interesting stuff. Got the firewall connectors in still waiting on the connectors to remove the doors. Hopefully pulling the cab this weekend.
I'm leaning towards the gunmetal now. Still minimal progress. I have to deal with a drainage issue in the driveway so it's concrete today and tomorrow. Now I'll have a nice drain in front of the garage. I'm also picking up a plow for the psd so I can pull in a few extra bucks over the winter.
