I used the 27/32 to clean up the hole. I really need to use a 55/64 and a 7/8 drill bit, the bushing will go in but the hole is still to small. It closed the bushing and will not let the tie rod stud seat all the way.
And then on the blue truck yesterday the pick up in the distributor had a wire break....and then the dizzy WAS, I say WAS, stuck in there. Its out and the dizzy housing is cracked, so in with a new one.
Oh your to patient a man there Rich, I'd be pissed. Then I would probably put one of my small round files in the 1/4" drill and ream out the tight spot in that bushing, cursing and bytching at myself til the tie rod stud seated. Then I would cross the alley to Mark and Sue's and make passes at Sue's daughter Kelly til I felt better. I'm allowed to make lewd comments as I'm the guy she calls if she's being leered at or harrassed on her way home on the bus. "Honey, can you meet me at the bus stop in front of Billy's/ No Frills" works every time.
Know what I like about being unemployable during a recession, it takes a whole 15 minutes to find more than enough work to keep me busy and finance my winter, and I cherry pick my jobs.
My insurance company, Blue Circle has an old Indian in their lobby. For what they charge for insurance you'd think the damn thing would run. That is a nice Bronco and I bet it runs.
Would like to be feeling Kelly but I'll settle for feeling better LOL. Dont worry folks, shes 3rd year engineering student, it's that natural Macintosh red waist length mane of ringlets she has thats too much... like mother like daughter.
Off subject, my neighbor across the street (old man) has a restored 57 Chevy. He finally let me dial it in with a vacuum gauge, carb and timing. This was last week, yesterday I get home, he invited one of his friends over with a 55 Chevy. Dialed it in. He let me take it for a hot lap. I've never driven a 55 before.
One of my friends restored two 50s vehicles and immediately sold them didn't make a profit or anything near that I'd love to have a restored 50s vehicle just not put forth the effort (or money) to do it
And that's not even all of them, in one or two of the pics you might spy a black painted frame... ;79 F350 cab/chassis that I spent alot of my youth in. waiting for cab replacement after interstate accident
Anybody else here qualify as the tenant from hell. Rent and bills are always paid early as I know that I'm a strong tenant with a weak landlord and have a tendancy to modify the property.
Since moving in I've gotten rid of 5 sub par tenants upstairs (drug addicts and scammer), the original property manager, as the houses were part of a make work program for his pot head BIL. Rebuilt the front walk, installed a patio area, side walk in the common yard. Built and rebuilt multiple work shelters for the truck habit, extended a shed and skidded in a work/tool shed. Put in 50' of trenching for a gantry system and a 20' grade beam for the current work shelters. Currently digging a 24' x 2' x who knows how deep I'll go trench so that I have loam and clay for project down the street. Trench will become a dry well as I have a drainage problem (wonder why lol), have lots of broken concrete, sidewalk stones and exposed aggregate curbing to fill it with plus washed rock to hide it. Either this fall (not likely) or next spring the down spout that feeds the dry well becomes part of a water feature as I have a holding tank, pump, manifold and tubing to make a fountain, pond or what ever idea falls out of my skull.
Have I mentioned that this was all done on my own perogative and without any permission from the landlord or home owner. Have I mentioned that I used to be part of a property management group in Vancouver that established the REIT that currently makes up 60% of my pension. Really debating if I would evict someone like me or go into business with the person.
Think I'll learn spanish and become a landscaper, refugee, when I finally take my full retirement and head south.
