We'll privateer I wish I was like you. I seem to have the neighbor from hell or it's me depending on who you ask
His newest landscaping venture drained all the water into my driveway to the point where you almost need 4wd driving up it. I do drag my hitch everyday
It's better than it's been it's gotten to the point of shots being fired and police being involved but that was a long time ago
Best wishes to your mother Rich, hoping for a speedy recovery.
My backyard is small but has so much potential, but it's never dry enough to enjoy and it turns soft and muddy to walk on every time it rains, lasts a week. Trench is currently 18" deep x 2' wide x 16', plus a 5' long grade cut to get the water away from the back wall. Might make it easier to take the chill out of the back rooms in the winter if I dry up that wall, save on gas bill. Neighbors sidewalk almost done, only work 5-6 hrs a day on it with ranch gaps and a couple of extras to make job more complete. Now have 16 - 20 old cracked sidewalk stones to cut to give him as wide a walkway as possible without buying more pads and it looks like his gate is getting replaced...... and the beat goes on.. Good for the cashflow, get fed as he owns the restuarant 250' away and I walk 80' to work. Like how tough life has become, feels like home now lol.
Best wishes to your Mother, Rich, hoping for a speedy recovery.
Trench is now currently 18"d x 2'w x 16'l with a 5' long grade cut to get the water away from the back wall. If I dry it out a bit it should make it easier to take the chill out of the back rooms during the winter, saves on the bills I hope. Neighbors sidewalk is looking nice and there's been job extensions, now I have 16 - 20 of the old pads to cut to give him as wide a walkway as possible to the back, without buying new stones. The fence gate will be next .......and the beat goes on.. good for the cash flow, get fed as he owns the restuarant 250' away. Only put in 5 - 6 hrs a day and have ranch breaks so it's taking a while but it's flat rate for him so he doesn't mind if I take enough time to do it right and include the details that are supposed to be done. Got my neighborhood just about the way I like it, quiet, peaceful and friendly, starting to feel like home. LOL
Thanks for the words boys, is it touch and go for now. Her recovery is going to be slow, she might have phenomena, from lots of fluid on her lungs...standing by, to stand by.
Rich, I don't know you personally but from your willingness to share and help on here I will say that I'd love to sit down with you for a beer or coffee any day. Praying for a full recovery and many more years for your mom. Hang in there. Bruce.
I offer my well wishes Rich. We pray in solidarity.

Well, not much to report except that I had a pretty good weekend. One of my rentals came up with a dead circuit which two professional electricians last weekend deduced it was a dead neutral. I went to the house yesterday to reassemble some of the receptacles we had removed from their boxes so I wouldn't have so much work to do today to run a new 14/2 wire.... but I thought back and the only thing that we didn't inspect, because it wasn't very evident is a hardwired smoke detector. Well, it turned out that is where the problem was... a neutral had backed out of the wire nut and killed all the downstream circuits. Bam! Lights on!!!
That means my Sunday was free!!!!! Wooohooo!
So last night I surfed Pick N Pull's website to see what was in the yards (they maintain an online inventory).. only a few Bumps and a couple of Dents. However, a fresh '79 Bronco showed up so I called my pal with a '95 Bronco who has been wanting to do a solid axle swap.. Today we went and got its Dana 44 for $270. I picked up the contour bumper and brackets and its steering gear and pitman arm. The rig still has an NP205/C6/351M combo...
Just not enough left curves are there Jr, went through the sewer routine 3 years ago. Snaked the line from the main to the street, the flushed out the house with a garden hose with the end cut off. Snaked and flushed the main to the street again. Took all morning and stunk up the house a bit as I used hot water. House smelt good and has worked right since supper time that night.
Have absessed front tooth, had 2 noses yesterday, lanced it myself and swelling is going down. What's left of tooth stays as I don't have enough of them and I don't want to look like a cross between a beaver and Buggs bunny
Say hi to Mom for us Rich, best wishes in her recovery.
Nice score there Rich. Especially with that sport steering wheel. But it looks as though that other wheel might be bent. However I'm sure it's just the angle that the pic was taken.
