Ok so we "borrowed a friends rail, taken out of a running truck. Put it in to do an air test and its still leaking!
WHAT! Still.
Do what Cheezit says.
When you put the loaner in did the stand pipe come out all the way?
How did all the D-rings look?
BTW I am working on getting that rail ready to send off.
I wanted to clean the oil off so the Post Office does not throw a fit
because of leaking oil or the smell. I'll have to tell you that story
some time. But it's almost all clean I ran out of spray cleaner. Don't
want any dirt in the threads or the O-ring seats.

Umm feeling kind of dumb, we did not cycle any oil back into it before doing an air test. After we did that we did not hear a leak. Tomorrow we will start it and test it out! (I have to have the rail back by 4)
Don't mean to interrupt, but did Sean actually make it over? I thought you were there now? LOL Hoping this works out for you today Firefighter! This has been a long road for you guys.

Unfortunately Sean did not make it. He tried but Canada Customs would not allow him entry with his tools. They figured he was here to work even though he was just going to help they considered it "work". I too hope this is the end! It has been a long road. We are on tear down number 7. Cross your fingers!

Imagine doing that for a living being paid flat rate.
Now we know why auto repair cost so much.
Can't get any values right now. It's stuck on the side of the road. Husband is walking home. He said it threw pressure too low code (cheap hand held scanner) but not sure which code. Will post more when he gets home.
More than one thing going on, first I would get the ICPV fixed that way we know the pig tail is not the problem and the volts that we need .85 to start. Then ohm out the sensor to veifi that ICP Sensor is 1 Bad 2 good, ohm and close IPR make sure it moves when asked .
The ICP volts match the pressure reading (0.24 is zero and 0.54 is 242 psig apprx). But certainly the ICP still might be bad, so if only the sensor is bad, the truck should start with it unplugged.
If the IPR screen is plugged, it will be commanded to close all the way, but will not accomplish the task of sufficiently increasing pressure. Remember - the IPR reading is a commanded duty cycle - not a valve position indicator. On a no-start, there isn't a way to actually confirm that the valve is moving from the duty cycle reading, or even the ICP pressure reading.
