Ok the IPR is new the oilcooler is new the HPOP is new. Since doing the work, I have put 500 kms on the truck, mostly test drives in town and highway. I have pulled the IPR out and it is clean. No metal no flakes nothing. The gear on the new one spun with but with a little resistance. If I take the injector valves apart should I have them machined?
Lots of bad "new HPOP's" out of the box, unfortunately.
If yiu still have issues drive it till its hot and wont restart, pull the valve covers back off while its hot and air test it.
Youll burn the crap out of yourself but ypu will increase your odds
What does the back side in the front cover look like?
Also the gear it's self?
Any metal fragments in the drain oil or on the magnet for the pan?
One other place to run a magnet around would be the lower half of
the oil filter housing.
