What kind of brake light did you use, and does it seal up to the glass to prevent inside glare at night?
I want to do the same thing. I don't trust people to see the tail lights in the original locations. There is a good reason they've been moved up in newer vehicles. It puts them in the line of sight.
I bought an LED double strip lighting kit from our local Canadian Tire store, 2 strips 1/4" x 12 " then used some MDF and routed a 1/4" deep ,1/2" wide by 12" dado, The LED strips had self adhesive tape that hold them side by side in the dado and on the MDF I used some 3M tape on each end to attach it to the window. I looked to see if I had taken any pics but apparently not, sorry..It only cost around $20 total
