Driving this truck now with that extra gear sure makes a big difference, so much quieter and seems much more responsive now that I put the 4bl on it. Very happy with this stock motor and no need for more power..
Hi I have enjoyed viewing your thread and now I have a question. Do you have spacers at the back of your box where it mounts to the frame? I am looking at a 54 with a C-notch done and the truck lowered but it has 3" spacers at the back of the box. I am wondering if the rear frame has sagged as the front of the box has no spacers where it mounts behind the cab. I realize this is to clear the diff due to the truck being lowered.
Think I have it figured out, truck came originally with wood deck and tailgate sill but this truck has a metal floor and no sill so spacers there to make up for thickness missing. Correct me if I am wrong.
