Scraprat, I know these don't have a great reputation under heavy trucks, but did you rotate religiously? Hell, mine chops up the factory rugged trails, but 6k rotations has somewhat controlled it.
Rotation wasn't as religious as it should have been but not any different than the OEM tires. I always liked the rugged trails and just go back to them when replacing now. But at the time I had the KO's I was putting 50K + miles a year so tires didn't last that long anyways.
New to the forum and will picking up a 16 F350 DRW this coming week. Wondering why you chose a 60lb kit. Thought the rear pressures were 65. Is 60lb the point that the Cat will indicate there is a problem?
Today I got to take pictures of my truck.
Any one of 3 parking lots I was in the past several days.
Are you kidding me. It's not like people CAN'T see our trucks. People just don't respect others property.
Hopefully you can get 'er fixed up without too much heartache.
Someone I work with recently purchased a new car. They park near me at work and we park crazy far away from anyone else. He told me a month ago that his new car got scratched. Last week he told me that he now has a small dent in his passenger door. This week he told me that the black paint in the dent matches the color of the side mirror on his wife's car. The dent also matches the height of the mirror perfectly. The scratch looks like one that would come from his wife's larger than life purse.
He shows his wife the dent and the scratch and his wife says "What's the big deal", "It's just a car".
I think his head exploded a little.
My advice was to sell his home with the small two car garage in favor of a normal 3.5 car garage and then park far away from his crazy wife.
My wife would never do this. Last three trucks, no scratches or dents. Wife's car has no scratches or dents either.
His last car he owned for 7 or 8 years and was washed maybe 4 times. Was one of those guys that says the gas station wash wrecks your vehicles so he always washed his at home. That's great for those that want to wash in the cold all winter but this is a poor excuse to never wash your vehicle. Treating your vehicle well may be a new habit for his family.
I purchase an unlimited car wash package from a local station and wash the F250 black beast two to three times a week. Truck is always clean on the outside. When it gets warm, I need to pick-up my game on the inside.
I had a little scare on Thursday. Coming home from work the low pressure fuel light comes on. The truck immediately went into limp mode but fortunately I was 1 mile from the Ford dealer my BIL works at. I noticed right away there was a noise coming from under the hood that was very disturbing. My edge CTS told me code 0087 and 008a, I think those are the right ones, anyway they were low fuel pressure codes which were confirmed by the diesel guy. He asked me how long ago was it when I had changed fuel filters and my answer was a little over 5000 miles ago. He said sometimes those codes come up right after changing filters. Sometimes they are not tightened properly. And sometimes the low pressure pump goes had. He told me to go home and change them again and see what happens. I changed them today, did everything by the book, started it up and it still was a little noisy, you could tell there was air in the system, did the key on key off thing again, less noisy but still there. I Drove the truck the 4 miles to the dealer and by the time I got there it was quiet, no noise. The diesel guy said any codes? No. Then drive it. So hammer down, well at least as far down as city traffic would allow but I did get on it on one small strectch and it felt good, no codes. I think I will keep my eye on that low pressure pump and probably will replace it just for peace of mind. Whew, that could have been a lot worse.
That sucks Duane. I would be really pissed! But at least it looks like the only damage is to the flare.
Bruce, my wife is in that bang it up and don't care club. Her 14 Focus has scratches all over. She blames it on working at a high school and says people just don't care. I did ask her one time before with her old one that got totaled if that reasoning was true why is the roof scratched to hell over the drivers door?
I don't ask anymore!
If she wants to not take care of her car I just don't care. She hit the dually with a pitchfork just above the left side taillight when it was brand new, I was steamed, she didn't care.
