I paid about 36K for my 2004 Excursion Eddie Bauer 4x4 PSD. That was with a $3500 incentive on the diesel from Ford. I still own the truck and it has about 37K on the clock. I have done quite a bit of customization on the 6 liter engine. I had the engine bulletized, replaced the FICM, installed an enhanced turbo charger, 120 amp alternator and rear air lift kit. I'm currently running with an 8K custom towing tune that I installed with my SCT tuner. Truck has plenty of power, no lag and on our vacation this week was getting 17-20 MPG pulling our enclosed cargo trailer. It looks like new and I plan to keep it until you can no longer purchase diesel fuel....
Must be a real unicorn he has, what with a 7.3 in his 2004 and all...
LOL, Matt, Matt, Matt...I wasn't saying gwrace has a 7.3L. I was simply identifying Matt from Gearhead as being in the top 3 (or 5, depending on who you ask) tuners in the 7.3L tuning world, which means Matt from Gearhead is very well known.
I have no clue if Matt is also considered to be in the top 3 or top 5 in the 6.0L tuning world, that's why I didn't include the 6.0L PSD.
The ultimate nichemobile. Why not. The ultimate babyboomer mobile. How
many babyboomers can you cram in an excursion. The super soccermom mobile. Ok I'll stop. Man I couldn't afford one. But I sure would like to create another go round of hummer owner envy.
