1. hoping to strip down the axles in my garage this weekend.
2. wiring harness in the engine bay is situated, hoping to sort out the interior harness this weekend.
3. Working on the pool hall (third stall) to finish insulating, so I may not have time to get to #1 and #2. We shall see...
I am interested to see how you go about mounting the seats without making them super tall.
Should look and feel great once they're in.
Curious if you could just shave the top of the door panel off then overlay the door with it, how different are the measurements?
Front what I have measured, I will need to shave an inch off the base of the seats. I will probably hope on Google and see what others have done, as I am sure I am not the first guy to do this (I hope).
As for the door panels, they seem huge. Will take measurement and see, but at first and second glance, I would have some serious trimming to do, especially the front as the vented windows need to be functional.
so its been a while since I have posted on Eleanor. No, I have not given up the ghost on my build, simply way busy at work and also with my consulting business, plus several little life changes such as:
sold my 1979 Bronco
sold my 1963 f100
was working on some jeep axles
drinking beers
oh, and the New Call of Duty came out
plus it snows in Michigan...a lot.
I have been sourcing and tracing the internal wiring harness all this winter, when I have the time and my nipples don't try and fall off from the extreme temperatures
I am still looking for a shop diagram/schematic for the donor, boy that would make life better. But in the interim, I am doing it one block at a time off the fuse block. Yea me!!!
Good news, half way there.
Bad news, its ****in cold.
Pictures to come. and much work to do. Hoping for this spring for it to be running under its own power.
just read all 8 pages. I don't know what I like better, your build or your writing, lol. looks good so far, going to be a nice truck
Thanks. I try to paint an accurate picture of what goes on in my dysfunctional mind when doing this. We have all been there, on one project or another, and misery loves company, so I figured why not use my thoughts to convey the chaos that occurs on a project, regardless of how well thought out (not in my case though. Mine's a dream with a thin lined planned. Think Hindenburg, without explosions...so far)
Hoping to capture more pictures for you all, as this really is going to be a great daily driving and capable rig once done in my opinion. And the wiring harness, all the connectors, and stuff like that, well, there's no book out there for it (Power Stroke in a 70's truck) unfortunately.
