I got all the parts together off a 77 F150 to swap onto my 68. Where should I drill holes for the disc brake brackets? Is there a specific measurement (i.e. so many inches from the coil tower rivets) or just eyeball it?
I just used the existing bolt hole that held the original small frame bracket on and made a second hole above it to attach the larger hardline-to-flexible caliper hose brackets.
This was on a '65 F100 I had worked on but I did the same thing with my own '69 F100.
I am in the same process, taking all from a '78 F150 and putting onto my '70 f100. 1.875" measurement is from the spring tower. Top of brackets are roughly flush with top of frame. Ultraranger's location looks The same.
You guys, with 2WD's have it way easier than those of us with 4x4's, and the old closed knuckle hubs. Not wanting to loose my HD 12 bolt hubs, and the 3500 lb rating, it is not an easy swap to disc brakes for me. At least I do not know of an easy way to do it with the closed knuckles...

That would be a challenge indeed. Has anyone ever figured it out?
