Dummy gauges and that annoying ticking when I have the turn signal on. I didn't get that sound on the '06, did on the '10. Never really had a complaint for the radios on the '10 and the '14 and that's usually the first thing that I do.
My complaint is the 2011 transmissions. Sounds like Ford has figured out the issue on the newer trucks, I just wish they would share it with the 2011 owners who took the time to allow Ford to fix the future generations.
Mine almost shuts down the engine shifting 1-2 on a right turn from a stop sign under light throttle. Also the occasional harsh shift. This what yours does?
I had a newer tq converter and flywheel installed under warranty but no change from that.
And a ditto from many above: 1) the small tank = 200 mile range when towing. 2) The weak suspension squat .... I was going to get a set of brass ***** to hang from the undercarriage, but I think they would drag on the ground.
mine in the 2013 is a sony with the premium sound package or whatever. I think it is just fine...but I have artillery ears so anything is better than nothing.
Hey guys, the radio's you say sound cheap, are they the Sony brand.......??
I had the Sony one in the 2010 Platinum 150 and in the current truck in my siggy. I think that it sounds pretty good for OEM. Bare in mind, my typical first mod when getting a vehicle is changing out the radio. So for me to say that, that's saying something.
But then again, I've had years of booming out AC/DC, RATT and Quiet Riot to wreck havoc on my ear drums, so take it for what it's worth.
Compared to what we used to get OEM in cars and trucks, the stereo is decent but not exceptional. Between tire and wind noise at highway speed, plus a less then great listening area, a mega buck stereo wont, IMHO, hack it anyhow and is not my choice of mods for my limited 'playtime' dollars. Then there's the fact that too many years of shooting, loud tool use as well as running barely muffled high performance cars has done wonderful things to my ears

The largest issue is still 2nd to 3rd.
For the first 36,000 miles, the transmission would go to neutral from 2nd, engine would rev high because I would be accelerating and then slam into 3rd. Sometimes it wouldn't shift into 3rd and I would need to coast until it was ready.
After many computer module updates and not really getting anywhere, Ford finally replaced the solenoids and that was the most helpful fix.
It was fine for around another 5,000 and then it began to stumble into 3rd, which it continues to do.
The stumble (stall) is less risky than the high rev though. At least it will recover within a second and take off but the RPM's drop to idle for that second.
The first issue was dangerous for me, my passengers and the drivers around me.
When it does it on the days I don't have the patience to deal with it, the accelerator is to the floor by the time it recovers.
I'm good to 100,000 but after that I'll need to consider what to do with it because something will eventually give.
