Ram has an optional cargo camera, but it does not seem to work right if you have the tailgate camera also. On my friend's truck, the cargo camera was the default when you put the truck in reverse. This could not be changed. You could access the tailgate camera by pushing several buttons, but who wants to do that every time you back up?

Didn't know that, seems like it should be the other way around, of course, what do I know?

How about whenever there is water, heavy dew, rain, etc on the roof of the truck and when your windows are cracked or down and you slow down or try to stop and it all pours right in on top of the door panels, especially right on all the window and door electrical controls! I cant get the windows back up fast enough...
I noticed that when I test drove a brand new truck,of course I use vent visors on my truck but some guys never add any mods.
I hate those dents up there that collect water

Late getting to this thread. After a 4100 mile trip towing a 32 foot travel trailer, I HATE the 25 gallon fuel tank. Hate, hate, hate, hate. At my age if my truck needs to stop more often than my bladder, the fuel tank is too small ;-)

One of the very reasons I now have a long bed with a 38+/- fuel tank. The previous truck had a V10 gasser along with a short bed. Pulling our heavy 34 foot fiver meant as soon as you filled up you started planning the next stop. Sounds like you may need to look for an aux tank

If auxiliary, larger tanks were not available I would not even bother camping.
My first diesel was a short bed GMC. Stopping every 200 miles, planning for a stop at 150 for fuel sucked.

I can go a long time between stops, especially when traveling alone. I'm sure that will change as I get older, but having larger fuel tanks sure makes the anxiety of fuel issues a lot less.

I put a 52 gallon Titan in the GMC, that made for a good day of traveling.
This truck has a Titan 65 and a RDS in the bed with an extra 40+.

My wife would divorce me if I had 100+ gallons of fuel! The 37 gal tank gets me approximately 300 miles with the camper and she would stop more frequently if I would allow it. I have never been able to talk myself into the expense of the Titan, but it sure would be nice to have that extra capacity. 8.5 hours of non-stop travel time would suit me just fine!

It used to be the wife's bladder that determined the mileage/frequency of the stops.. Trust me guys, the tables turn later in life.. Now she chides me by slurping her coffee while I'm going cross-eyed!

I have to wonder if the earlier factory fuel tanks can be retrofitted.. My 99 SC SB V10 has the large tank..
Sure, putting the aftermarket tanks in the bed is an option, but a PITB to fuel sometimes and you lose that bed space in a truck that was already shy of space..

I just added a 60 gal tank/toolbox to my dually's 38. so close to 100.
($800 tank and install kit).
I do it cause I hate thinking about fuel every 300 miles, and not being able to pull in someplace with the trailer. (and I get more control of the price I pay (sometimes!))

A problem that many don't consider is the fact that a 50 or so gallon aux fuel tank weighs approximately 360 pounds @7.2 pounds/gallon plus the tank and hook up parts. This may put some folks outside of the GVWR - I know it would on my truck, but ......

Yes - Irelands Child - Always need to factor in the weight of fuel. I know someone who was going to get a 200 gal. aux tank since he pulls a fiver and doesn't really need the bed space. Until the tank installer asked if he had an extra 1600 pounds of cargo capacity for the fuel and the tank after taking the pin weight of the fiver into consideration... He ended up with a 60 gal tank instead, after doing the math and even that was close. He had a dually too.

Excellent point! Another reason that I haven't taken the plunge. Jumping to the Titan 65 would only add less than 250 lbs for me, but I am over GVWR now and just under RAWR by about 300 lbs. At the rate my 14 year old is growing, he is going to add another 100 lbs over the next couple years!
