SUMMER CHAT 2014
Bill, that is suppose to be a winter job not when it is over 100 degrees.
I posted an article on a little about Common Core. I hope you parents that really care about your children's education will look into common core. It is not a good thing for your children. With an election coming help stop this in Arizona.

was out there working at 5 this morning.
Dad woke up and said to load the tires I just bought for the 02 in the 02 F250. So me, my brother (younger not youngest) loaded up the tires and we all went to town with those wheels and tires. Got the tires on the 02 F250 wheels but I had no real want for keeping the Dodge wheels and the tire shop owner had some decent tires and wheels that I had been looking for. So I asked him if he wanted to make a deal for the dodge wheels he said give him the dodge wheels and I can have the Ford 5lug wheels with 31 10.5 R15 Big foot tires with 30% tread.
I then rushed home put those wheels and tires on my 88 F150 (I needed to get rid of those tiny 235 75 R15s) then took my wheels and tires loaded them in the 89 F250 along with the tires I just took of the 02 F250 and a set of jeep wheels I had bought. All of the boys of the family got in the truck and went to the tire shop again and we had my 235 75 R15s taken off my chrome spoke wheels and put on the Jeep wheels for the Explorer I then took the bald 265 75 R16s off the 89 and put the old 285 75 R16s off the 02 on the 89.
After that we ran to show low because I needed some auto parts. I bought spark plugs, plug wires, cap, and rotor along with a battery for the 84 Bronco II since I wanted it running again. I also bought front pads for the 02 F250 because the fronts were shot but everything else was in great shape (I inspected the brakes while they were putting tires on the truck). I didn't get home till 8 at night so I couldn't get much more done.
Today I have to tune up the Bronco II and put the wheels and tires on the Explorer.
I uploaded pics in the Ultimate super duty thread and the what have you done to your truck today thread and soon the build thread for my 88.

Took my Crown Vic to the shop for a service & change rear end fluid. It needs plugs & boots so I'm having them do those also.
Headed to the mountain tomorrow. We need a break from the heat. The Crown Vic is done. They had to put new plugs & boots on so I guess I'll get worse gas mileage now. That the way with Ford's. My F150 had the original Motorcraft plugs. 138,000 miles about 0.120" gap put in another set gaped them at whatever was recommended & I have never got as good of mileage.

We are buying some RR ties in Seligman. Then I have a couple of small projects. See how the tree trimming & clean up is going.
It is HOT here 115s. We are ready for a break.

forest road 6 (about half way to Williams) is a nice drive, some bad spots, good chance of seeing deer elk and turkey.
to get from Williams to Chino. Road 4 in Williams goes south to Perkinsvill. where the blacktop ends you can turn west and get to hwy 89 at drake, or continue south to Perkinsvill (at the Verde river) and take perkinsvill road in to Chino.
Yesterday we got a few more parts: oil and oil filter for the B2, ignition cylinder, ignition switch, and ignition control module plus the correct rotor. Hopefully it runs better.
San Juan fire as of last night had 70% containment.
Craig that is weird that you got worse fuel mileage when you put new plugs in. I have always went from motorcraft to Autolite Platinum copper core plugs and the truck runs better, has more power, and better fuel mileage.

We have been about 8 miles on co.124. Yea it looked real good. A guy I know in Ash Fork says there are times if you go to Williams that you better know that road. He says I-40 gets closed many times because of truck wrecks, & weather (if we ever get anymore winters)
So instead of working our time away while up there we hope to throw in a few adventures.
Not sure if, but I would like to find a back way into Seligman also.

I towed my 5th wheel over county 124 with snow on it last winter no problems. the snow does get deep when you get about 5 miles from Williams in the pines, not always plowed.
