I keep my car keys on a carabiner so I can clip them to my bag, my beltloop, or anywhere else that makes sense. I've even clipped them to my lunchbag so I wouldn't forget to take that in the morning.

Hiya gang.

Craig, I havent a clue about Excursion repair. Sorry. Would certainly be glad to help but have no tools or other resources myself.

Got back from NAU with my daughter this afternoon. Was a shame to leave the 74 degree weather for a 100+ back home. Wife is ready to sell out here and buy a small home in both PHX and Flagstaff and live there in summers. Can't believe that's a bad idea, but not sure how we could afford it either. Still, daughter is plenty excited about starting school in the fall. I'm actually excited for her. She worked hard in high school and was offered all tuition paid scholarship at NAU or we wouldn't even be considering it. She's earned it too.

I suggested pm some of the guys in the Phoenix area. Bart is gone so he was the closest. I have no experience with the Excursions thought someone who did might be able to talk him through or make whatever suggestions he needed.
Anyway haven't heard anymore so I hope he got on the road.
Heading to cooler weather tomorrow. It was 109 here today headed to 111-112 over the weekend.

Hey Trav & everyone.

We are headed to the mountains for a few days. We'll get the recall on my 95 F150 taken care of by Galpin Ford jn Prescott on Saturday.

So I'll catch everyone on the other side.

Trav help keep this thing going in my absents.

Craig I will try my best.

Yesterday was a pretty interesting day and seemed to be a hit and miss day.
I replaced the fuel filter on the 94 Explorer and she was running great took her for a test drive and as soon as she hit the same amount of miles as before she started sputtering and had a huge loss of power again. If she sits and cools down she will run like a top then she gets warmed up and acts up. I am pretty sure it is a Fuel problem but not sure what. You guys think it is the Fuel pump or fuel pressure regulator. When it starts acting up I get a CEL so I am hoping to pull codes when I get the chance.

Then we loaded up one of those big heavy flatscreen televisions to go bring in to be repaired as we really liked this one got up to show low and the damn tv repair shop shut down business and their isn't one until Winslow! Had to just bring it home but luckly we had to go their anyways to get some more stuff for plastering the house. Then we get home and I realize we forget to get staples so we had to go back again.

Thanks Trav for holding down the fort in my absents. It appears nobody but you knew I was gone.
I'm back until Vici finishes work for the school year in 10 days then back up to get a few things done.

Got my truck recall done. I was real pleased with Galpin Ford in Prescott. I'm going to have them do my service work when up on the mountain. They got me in & out in 20 minutes, I was treated very well. For me to to recommend a dealership is saying something. I rarely have good luck with dealerships. But I felt real good about Galpin Ford & will go back.
We saw a nice Mustang GT 500 SVT, Black & Black, beautiful car only $70,000. Maybe I need to buy it.

Howdy az gang.

Craig looks like it is just you and me keeping this going right now.
Only way I would get one of those newer mustangs is if it was the new 5.8L super charged with a 6 speed behind it and a convertible. Other then that I don't care much for the new mustangs. Actually I don't care for many mustangs minus the fox body ones and the early 2000s.

Good Morning Trav.

Glad your around other wise it would be very lonely.

This mustang was supercharged with a 6 speed. As for engine size I never paid attention. When I saw the price tag & knowing my wife didn't have her check book with her & it wasn't my birthday I back up a few feet. It was a module motor. I don't even know if it was a 14 or 15 year.

The problem with the Fox body & the following body was they were real unstable at high speeds. My 95 Mustang GT 302 5 speed was all over the road over 125 mph. I took it once to 135 mph that was scary at best. It took for ever to get speed after redlining 4th gear at about 118 mph.
This newer style is much faster & handles day & night difference. A buddy bought my 95 in 96. He drove it until the newer style was out (I can't remember what year they changed) & bought a new GT & he told me there was no comparison between the two. The newer style was much faster & handled so much better.

Back in the day I went by the State of California wrecking yard in Sacramento. There were Fox Body Mustangs stack up in there. There must of been over 100 wrecked mustangs from the CHP.

I knew a Sgt with the CHP & they got their choice of cars. He told me he wouldn't have a Mustang because they were awful in rain & wet & chose to drive I think they had still had Dodges back then & Mustangs. I think it was before the Caprice I'm not sure the CHP ever ran Caprice's.

If it was the supercharged stock it was more then likely the 5.8L

I was at the dealership up here recently and watched one do a burnout peeling out of the dealership from one end to the other. The dealership is an acre lot so almost 150ft it did a burnout. It was awesome. My mom came out and asked what that burning rubber smell was and looked directly at me I just told her it wasn't me this time. (Last time she smelled burning rubber I was doing burnouts with the parts ranger "testing it out a bit.) LOL

14s look like this:

15 mustangs they changed up and look like this:

Personally I hate the 15 mustang look. I prefer the 14s.

Edit: pics won't work you will have to google it sorry craig.

Trav, Should of told mom that was the rubber on your shoes burning.LOL. You didn't post a link or picture.
So now they make a 352 mod motor?
I'll tell you when these mod motors came out & up until I drove one I thought they were junk. But owning this Crown Vic sure has changed my mind. I can't believe how this 4.6L (287 CI) performs & gets gas mileage also. Then these P-71s are getting 300,000 miles? That seems to be what people believe on the Crown Vic forum. There are guys with 200,000 on them. Of Course you have to take care of them.

Hey I have my 90 Honda Civic LX up for sale if you know anyone wanting a real nice basic one owner car. My mom bought it new & I'm legally the second owner.

I know I didn't post a link for some reason the links weren't working so I deleted them.

It is a 351 modular motor not 352 (I think that is what you meant though.)

I love the 4.6L and 6.8L modular engine don't care to much for the 5.4L modular engine.

My only experience with these motors are the 4.6 that we own. All I know is when it comes time to have plugs changed I will let a shop do it. The tool to fix any thread problems is around $70 at the last one I remember. I got one for my buddy for his 01 P71 & that was my cost through NAPA. I got a pretty good break from them & had an account with them.

What is wrong with the 5.4s?
