road 4 from Williams is nicknamed oil pan road, not too uncommon to see a trail of oil from a ripped oil pan! it goes from Williams to hwy 89 about 12 miles south of I40
I towed my 5th wheel over county 124 with snow on it last winter no problems. the snow does get deep when you get about 5 miles from Williams in the pines, not always plowed.
We had to come back to Bullhead. Got everything set up did a couple of small projects. Got the generators tied together, went in to turn on the (AC 97 degrees & 30% humidity outside) & the AC won't come on the fans working but as soon as I try the AC it overloads the generators & throws their circuit breakers. I couldn't hear the compressor even trying to start. I think I burned the start relay or maybe the compressor when I tried a week ago with one generator. The compressor tried to start then killed the generator. Because there are no windows that open to fit a window unit in we were without AC. We both decided no way & came home.
We will made day trips to explore. At the end of Sept. Vici has a week off & we will go up & finish what work we want to do & explore some more. When it is cooler.
The tree trimming is about finished. Will meet on Monday with the people doing the work to made sure we are on the same page for the clean up. They did a great job with the trimming exactly what I wanted.
Bart, what should the flat rate on changing spark plugs & boots on my 99 Crown Vic? The shop charged me $112 to do it & I thought that was high with a $70/hr rate.

Everybody stay safe on this 3 day weekend, and if you have to work... be thankful you have a JOB.
Bill glad you aren't melted on the roof. Happy Forth of July to everyone.
Bill, did you do the breakfast cooking as I suggested? LOL

1.4 hours flat rate, that might be high, if it were a regular customer and it took less than that I would charge less, however if they wanted a quote before work started and I beat flat rate they still pay the quoted price.
Yesterday took the explorer to show low to run some errands bought a whole bunch of tools we have been needing for a while then pull out of Ace and the damn explorer starts making a loud noise get off the road enough and I pop the hood and coolant starts flying out of the overflow box. The truck had overheated and I hadn't looked at the gauges being my dad was driving. I did some diagnosing and figured out that it was the water pump. So luckily right next door was a Napa so we bought a water pump, water pump gasket, a ton of coolant, a thermostat, and a thermostat gasket. My mom then came and towed us home with the expedition.
I knew being a 4L motor it was going to go sooner or later but I didn't expect that soon.
143K on the original water pump is a bit much anyways for those motors.

Good Afternoon Everyone.
Thanks Bart.
They charge flat rate period. So I guess that is about right. The Crown Vic had half Motorcraft original plugs & half AC plugs. I guess the County was short on money & did half tune-ups when they did this one. I have never bought a car from Mineral County NV that the maintenance was ever kept up right. This is the second vehicle I bought from them. The good thing is they were both very cheap.

Trav, Sorry to hear the news. But the upside is at least you are young & energetic.
Life is never dull around your place. Always something happening. You need to teach you dad to read the gauges or make him fix his mess ups. Tell him I said so. LOL
Just got back from vacation and took the truck into the emissions place! Passed with flying colors. It's a bit sluggish but I can finally register it in Arizona! Geez that took a while...

Thats a good feeling to get through emissions... one of the reasons my truck is a 1966.
