Craig it does seem like a decent motor home but their is a few hack jobs on the engine compartment that looks to be done by Mallard. Most of what needs fixed it small stuff. We are hoping to get her to fire up today but a little later in the day we have some errands to run.

We got a 3 plugs & wires changed on the motorhome before my dad had to run into town. When he gets back if the rain doesn't come back we will put the new cap and rotor on, rest of the plugs and wires, the new control module, and the new air filter and hopefully fix the below and fire her up. The plug that are in their have been replaced before and look almost brand new but I want all new plugs, wires, cap and rotor to be sure that they are good.
I found the reason she isn't running I believe:
Their is an orange and black wire that goes to the PIP in the dizzy and it got ripped out. Luckily we have to pull the cap and rotor to see if we can solder it back on if not we need a whole new distributor. Still isn't bad considering the price we paid for the motorhome.
Craig I am not sure if you are used to generators in these motorhomes but their is an Onan 4KW generator in it with only 77.5 original hours. Onan is the most in demand generator their is really and to have one of this era with only 77.5 original hours and if she runs (haven't found out yet) that gen alone is probably work a good $600-$800.

I see them in the White Sheets here in the $400 area. In reality 4000w isn't that big. Yes, Onan's are good generators, but not very portable.
Used generators are many. I bought a 6500/5500w 10 HP Briggs for $250 six years ago.
I would think the whole rig running & everything working would command more money. It is the perfect size.
Howdy az gang last night got her running ended up being one little wire. Fixed it put it all back together and she fired right up and ran great! Still have a few more things to address though.
Briggs and Stratton generators don't bring much money really because their motors aren't the best. Hell I have 3 briggs and straton generators that we bought brand new that are dead. We also have 1 onan which runs but we don't use it. Then the generac 15KW which is our primary generator.

I have never had a problem with a Briggs engine. owned many. But I see Onan's advertised down here ever so often in the $400 range. That was my point. They are great generators will last forever if taken care of, but I find that is true with almost anything but a Chevy Blazer.
thing about the briggs engines is change the oil often... like every 8-10 hours of use. or like my old airless sprayer that we used most every day was once a week oil change.
