I believe monstaliner is uv resistant. Not positive though.

If you broke colors up with the body side molding (at least on the lower transition) it would look good.

I was planning on using the lower body molding as a guide and the upper indent that runs the length of the truck as one. So the red stripe would be slightly larger than the truck I posted earlier.

I like the idea. It wouldn't be terribly expensive. Are you going to paint it at home or at a shop?

I would paint it at home i dont have anywhere that i can paint it and leave it unfortunately but i am going to do it in steps to help reduce the amount of wet paint exposed, the whoe thing will cost about $300 from monstaliner and it's UV resistant which is also guaranteed for 5 years believe the site says so if it fades they will send you more im assuming lol.

Nice. My neighbor is restoring an old Chevy truck and he set up a canvas garage in his driveway to keep the elements off of it. You could build a temporary paint booth for yourself.

Yeah i planned on doing something of that sort with it i have two canopy's that i can hang plastic wrap from and anchor them into the blocks around the truck to keep the elements off for a few days while i work on it and paint it. I ironically have a tone of the plastic wrap if you wanna call it that in my basement.

I know two gallons will coat the truck but if i do the two tone with mostly black i think 1 gallon black should be enough but will 1 gallon red be too m,uch? should i do 1.5gal black and .5 red instead?

Hmmmmmm. Well you can always get more in quarts. I would think that a gallon of each would suffice. But it will depend on how thick you apply it.

very true, i am seriously considering this because of the end use of the truck lol. If i paint it i am going to beat on it and it would make sense to paint it because it will get destroyed however bedliner is extremely tough and will take the abuse.

Yes. It will definitely take the abuse.

As far as quantity, maybe call Monstaliner and ask them if they can help estimate the quantity needed based upon the vehicle size in one color. From there, you can divide between the red and the black.

I can tell you that their kits are meant to be mixed and used all at once. Mix everything in the gallon and you are good to paint. Quarts are more expensive, but more handy when the quantity is unknown. I measured mine out so I could get multiple uses out of the gallon, but it is definitely more of a pain in the ***.

good to know thanks! from what ive seen it usually takes two gallons but i will reach out to monstaliner and see what they say. I may jut do one gallon of each and if i have too much red i have too much and i can use it in the bed or something instead of using the crappy plastic liner i have now lol.
