Haha your really good at it! I'm debating what to do, my fiancé wants to build a c10 with my 5.4l out of the 250. Her dad has one with no motor or tranny so she thought it might be a fun project even though my original plan was to swap in my 5.4l to this guy eventually.

My buddy has 3 extra chevy transmissions and 3 transfer cases. Two autos and a 4 speed rock crusher. They also have a 1972 C10 SS w/ a factory 396. I know they have an extra 6 cylinder lying around. There may be a 350 too lol.

I'll take the engine and drivetrain from the F150 for my Ranger

Lol i figured, It probably wont happen that soon but if she really wants my engine then i will have to keep the 300 in the 95 but if not then ill let you call dibs on the 300 lol would you want the 5 speed to? I will be throwing the 4r100 and the 5.4l in the 95 because i am too big to drive a stick even though i LOVE it in that truck lol. Plus I'm debating between building a 4r100 or an allison for the cummins swap.

Lmao. I'd have to pass on the engine. 300 inlines don't fit in Rangers... too long. Tranny probably only mates to the 300... thank you Ford.

Honestly, I'd like to put in a carbureted 302 with a ZF5. I am going to look around for those. If I can find a good price on a 302, I'll put it in the garage and rebuild it. The small block ZF5 is hard to come by though. I will probably have to buy a junk 250 or 350 with the right parts in it.

If you have to keep the 300, take a look here on some possibles ways to help wake it up... Clifford Performance: Ford 300 & 223

I still vote you put a hand shaker in the F250 when you swap in the Cummins. That truck should be big enough for you to drive stick in lol. And there is nothing like the sound of a Cummins rolling through all 5 speeds

Really!? I've seen a cummins in a ranger...probably heavily modified though lol.

I know i would love to put a hand shaker in the F250 but i dont have the space in the interior to do that now... with the console and new dash it leaves very little room to more the shifter around and not hit the dash or beers...i mean drinks lol

I think you mean road soda...

I have to. I saw a 6BT in one and inline 6 twin turbo from a Supra in another. The problem is the engine mount almost flush to the radiator core support. The radiator, fan, and intercooler in some cases need mounted in front of the core support. Its more work than I was looking to do and I'd rather just have the V8... its a sound thing to me

Gave the rear bumper a new paint job will some chassis roll bar paint and some duplicolor trim paint.

My grandfather sprays half the frame with some sort of undercoating yesterday when i wasnt home over the POR...he didn't listen to me when i said not to topcoat it. Starting to bother me since it is still mione but he treats it like it's his since he will be driving it on occasion...worst decision i ever made

Mine would've done the same thing... his way or the highway.

You could always paint something of his... or put some sort of offensive bumper sticker on the truck...

Not a bad idea lol it's starting to drive me up the wall with the little things like painting the bumper he was like it will scratch unless you get some other type of paint. I tried to reinforce the fact that if you prep it right it will hold up fine but doesn't seem to get through.

I am pretty sure ZF5s don't fit in rangers however M5ODs do. Get a carbed 302 and get Matt's M5OD (yes 300s and 302s and 351Ws have the same bolt pattern.) I think that ranger will be killer.

Just trying to spend Jeremeys money and make Matt a little money back. LOL

Lmao. I want the granny low first in the ZF5 and most transmissions will fit in a Ranger if a cutting torch and/or a sawzall is available

My Ranger will get a V8 one day. I got things to pay off first Student loans are a brand new Super Duty payment.....

Good to know that the 300, 302, and 351 all share the same bolt pattern

Lol Trav Spends Jeremy's money and Jeremy spends mine.

Parts that need straight up replacement are the Fenders and radiator cor support, the bed also but it can be fixed for much cheaper since i can do it myself.

I am figuring that out fast while putting all the 92 guts into a 96 body. LOL. This and one day we plan to take it back apart and put a 302 V8 EFI or even a 351W EFI in it with an auto C6 or M50D (however if I can get a ZF5 to fit even better) but as of right now the 4.0L and A4LD will do good for my lead foot brother as a daily driver. I know my explorer gets quite the power for what it is (would rather be driving my F150 though).
Then again I have a T18 sitting in the yard with no bell housing and a NP205 bolted to it so maybe I have another project in hand since I have an explorer chassis in the backyard with no engine or trans or body. LOL
