It looks nice, over time it will lose its gloss though and get more satin I think because the POR is not UV resistant. It wont lose its rust prevsnting propertirs thiugh just the color so I dont care as long as it doesnt rust anymore.

If you haven't put the bed back on, you should seriously get a gallon of bar and chain oil and just brush over the frame. Mine was only $7 at tractor supply. I tested that stuff on my Ranger and its awesome. It will definitely help against corrosion. If I would've done that after painting my frame with the Chassis Saver, I bet it would still look brand new. Same with my Duff Lift Parts. You can also pour it in the doors to protect the pinch welds and in the bed cross members. Cheap insurance on an expensive paint job...

I got a shutz gun and test it on a rusty iron stake and I just have it sitting outside to see how it holds up. It leaves behind a nice slippery film once the oil slides down.

I'll send you a few shots of the test spots I sprayed on the Ranger.

Cool man, I will have to look and see where around me sells it, my plan was to coat it after I finish the paint job. The bed might be getting some new quarters and lower panels put on by my uncle so I will probably hold off until then for the bed but after it's done and painted I'm going to load that bad boy up lol.

How's that iron rod holding up?

It's still an iron rod.... rain has not bothered it at all....

You just gave me an idea. I am going to put it in a bucket of salt water tonight..... thanks!

You're also getting my brain turning again. I have more rusty stakes, Chassis Saver, and Monstaliner. I feel a corrosion comparison coming up...

Naturally it started to rain when i got home so i took a quick picture before it got dark last night and before it rained all day today.

The silver definitely makes it look in much better shape...actually anything other than rust makes it look like its in much better shape lol. My reasoning for picking silver is because when i used it on my 04 not only is the silver better for heavy rust (POR's site says that) but once you top coat it you know if you got it all or not once your done.

Nice. Looks like the frame is still in decent shape. Is that just 1 coat?

2 coats on the entire area that i coated, i normally do three but i was running low and wanted to be able to get the area's i have left with two coats as well.

It's in very good shape except its cracked just in front of the passenger front spring tower. The truck was in an accident (hit a massive pot hole) that broke the old tower off and cracked the frame I'm assuming because there is no accident on record for it and that's the story i got so i believe it.

Got her running! I had left the tank switch pigtail unplugged from the jumpers in the dash which caused no power to the pump. Plugged it in and started up like nothing...the power ateering pump is really loud though.

You can siphon the power steering fluid out and replace it with synthetic ATF. It has better lubricating properties than power steering fluid does.

Having just researched this, I can say that Ford recommends Type F only on '95 and older vehicles.

Good call on the type F.

That very well may be the problem lol. If you are going to do it, replace the lines too. Because I like spending your money
