Im working on putting a leveling kit on mine ive seen and heard of the ones they have on ebay the metal blocks and the springs just not sure what to go for any suggestions
Well, if you really want to justify keeping it, AND use it as a plow truck.....the '05+ F250/350 coil front ends literally bolt on to this era of truck. Using all factory parts, and gives you the equivalent of a 3-5" lift. It's stupid easy and cheap.
Lol, I donno, hadn't looked into it that deeply. Building a Bronco is a few projects away. Haha
Here's a quick overview...there are other build threads out there too 05+ Super Duty Dana 60 coil spring SAS - Ford Bronco Forum
Are you throwing you '04 dash in your '95? Lol
If guys can do this, adding gauge pods, then it shouldn't be that hard, right?
Yeah I am basically thinking about rebuilding the F150 with all the super duty parts. Like my dash, motor and trans, springs basically everything I took out. That dash is sweet!
Yeah, I've seen that it's crazy. I wanted to supercharge or turbo the 5.4l and throw it in there along with my old interior. It has some rust issues but nothing i cant fix myself lol.
Just wanted to post this up for you guys to show what i am planning for this truck as my plans are always shifting. basically once i finish the F250 I am going to work on the Charger and F150 the charger will only be drive train and interior stuff though and my priority is the F150 the charger is basically set once the body shop does its thing.
I am going to revive this truck using all my old SD parts basically everything from the dash to the axles. I have been thinking about it an since i need to remove my front axle on the F250 i am going to look and see if i can get my hands on some 05+ axles for it like i had found before. I will be doing a leaf spring SAS on the F150 using all my old F250 parts from the 04 this is obviously not ideal because the 05+ axles would be basically bolt in but i have all the parts available and if i am going to swap 05+ axles into something then i want to do it to my 04 because that is my pride and joy out of all my vehicles lol. Since i am basically going to turn this 95 into my 04 Super duty minus the frame and body i am going to slap a plow on it as well (i will box the frame) and use it to clear my driveway in the winters because i can get plows up here for the cost of a snowblower lol. This wont start until about spring-summer next year but once the F250 is finished this trucks build will really kick off.
Serpentine belt snapped about 40 miles from home I picked up my wife's motor and the belt was squeaking a lot and bam snapped lost everything and pulled over once I realized it did and the coolant was pegged. Time to replace the PS pump while the belt is off I guess.
Yeah very annoying, my father-in-law is replacing the belt for me today. By the time i got back to the shop the parts stores were closed so i was SOL fixing it yesterday but i was getting the BMW engine for my wife's 99 e46 for him to swap in so i just left him the truck with the engine in the bed lol.
I also need to do manifolds and flush the coolant and ps fluid on the expedition to fix that one...damn daily drivers.
Yup...I just did the whole steering system on a vw (pump, rack, reservoir, lines) fairly big job as you have to drop out the sub frame with the engine/trans. To find out there's a valving issue in the new/rebuilt rack. What a pita. And now since commuting in the F350 I now need to do the brakes and track down a bearing noise that only shows up around 30mph. It's been months since I've been in the garage for fun stuff. I wish I could just drop stuff off and come back to it fixed. Haha
