Well it does have an extended warranty and Ford still owns the truck. Always a what if with everything. Just have to go with it and hope for the best in any situation.

If you say so. Out of curiosity, was it your call to go to the independent shop of your insurance companies? How do you find yourself driving around in a truck owned by Ford?
Financed through Ford. And we could go on for days and days with this. One simple comment and people take things way out of concept. One major problem in world today is you cant please everybody. Point was didn't matter where truck is parts are not available. Pretty sure its on a first come first served basis with ford dealers for parts. Just a wait game till they arrive and truck is fixed.

I called the place I usually order from today and they were able to find numerous ones. I know you really like the shop that your at, but I highly recommend taking it to the dealership. Regardless that they used to all work at Ford, are Ford certified, etc, they are NOT the dealership and if anything is not installed BY the book, Ford will point to that to deny warranty coverage. Also they are clearly failing in the "finding parts" department. While they are in shortage across the nation, they can still be found. I hope you get your truck fixed soon, I was without mine for 2 weeks and it sucked.
I havent seen you answer this yet.Maybe you did but I dont have the time to read all the pages here.If your insurance company is paying for all the repairs why not just let ford do it? It saves any question of any warranty work down the road.I certainly would not risk this especially since its not out of my pocket.Too much money to risk it imo.It also appears you would get your parts much quicker that way as well.Hope it all works out for ya.
Just out of curiosity, what are you driving in the mean time? I couldn't get by without my truck for over a month. Did insurance provide a replacement or are you just driving a car? I assume driving a diesel you must tow frequently with it. Sorry about your troubles but I am glad your insurance is covering it.
