Yup, pay per views are high... well if your cheap like I am. Yes they're up to $60. I did pay that one time, for a boxing match. The first match Mike Tyson had after he was released from prison. It was the last time we ever paid for a PPV. Mike Tyson knocked that boy out in the first couple of minutes. That $60 took a lot longer than that to earn.
It's has more than just the WrestleMania's to watch..... I was hooked on that stuff as a young guy watching Bruiser Brody, Iron Sheek, Ivan "Polish Power" Putski. Road Worriors, my favorite Hack Saw Jim Duggan!!! just on and on. I can't hardly wait...
It was pretty good entertainment back then.
Been super busy with the family and work lately. I've been checking in just haven't been able to post as much. My softball is getting cranked up on top of everything else. In a few months the kid's will transition from their competitions to summer league swim team. Be summer before you know it.
Hope to see a few of you at dinner this week. Have a good week. Take care.
What's up everybody Yeah, here too. Nothing going on other then I get to go get groceries today or we go hungry, and I'm too fat for that! I did finally get to watch some wrestling yesterday after fighting to get registered on-line and getting a wild hair to try and download the app on the PS3. Tada!!! I jacked with the web for hours, and it only took minutes using the app... No I'm not a computer guy.
Hope y'all have a great day. Be safe
I lettered two years on the HS varsity wrestling team. I do like MMA and some boxing.
And the while those pro guys are indeed athletes. The scripts and general buffoonery turned me off.
But as a kid around here you knew; Wahoo McDaniel, Jimmy Snuka, Black Jack Mulligan, Ricky Valentine, Rick Flair, Ole and Arn Anderson. There's a bunch more I'm forgetting. It was big around here in the early 80's.
Dinner Thursday. For anyone that's interested. Check the thread.
I was never a fan of all of the crap that was in the script, and there are plenty of miss's that are a foot away that seam to knock a 300 pound guy to the ground.
I have noticed that there are a lot of these guy's here in North Carolina, and you mentioned one of my favorites. Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka!
I wrestled a little in high school myself. Wasn't too bad at it actually. I wasn't a jock by any means, and didn't run with the pot heads either, I was just kind of, there.
Good morning everybody!
We had some good news from our realtor. Looks like the house in Missouri is finally going to close, suppose to happen tomorrow (Friday) morning We're not making a dime on it, but at least it will hopefully be gone so we can at least benefit from dropping the insurance, and utilities etc.
Hope everybody has a safe day.
Well, fingers, toes, etc are crossed hoping to hear from the realtor that the house is a done deal. Now that area we moved from is expecting a "Major Ice Storm" this weekend I'm digging the North Carolina weather more and more.
Hope everybody has a great day.
Well that's probably good news in that you're free from that burden. But maybe a little sad you're leaving that part of Missouri behind. Or maybe its good riddence. I don't know. But I'm sure y'all are glad to be rid of that extra payment and hassle.
Just checking in, hope everybody is taking advantage of this beautiful weather. I'm debating on changing the oil in the truck, and the Escape, or just go fishing
