Canes, I think.... no, I know I'd be taking it easy after sleeping 3 hours and driving that far, and then have a 12 hour day...
Well boy's I think I just got asked for a "Special" trip for another Shepherd. This one would be picked up in Burlington Nc, and if I'm reading it correctly, going to Washington Dc Waiting to hear back from the rescue. All of my trips are volunteer based, my time ( and that I have) my truck, my fuel, etc. But I can't afford that one free. According to map quest it's almost 300 miles each way, and the Shepherd can't be picked up until 4pm, so a hotel stay too.
I do like a good road trip, so we wait and see.
Y'all have a good afternoon.
Sounds easier than going to dc. I avoid that town like the plague.
I must be getting older. Feeling sore and tired. Not fun
It's another state we haven't seen before, so it could have been a cool ride, and I'm all about a road trip. Speaking of getting older, the only thing on my agenda is picking up a prescription fun, fun, fun.
If you haven't seen dc it's definitely worth seeing. Hate that you missed out now that I think about it lol. Spring is best I think, but it seems everyone else thinks so too. It can get busy the first real pretty weekend and especially when the cherry blossoms are in bloom.
I'm a huge Thomas Jefferson fan. I've traveled the country over but have yet to go to Monticello or the library of congress. Really the only two places I want to go to now.
Canes, sorry to hear about your dad and Alzheimer's. It's a horrible illness to leave the body, but to take a persons mind from them. We went through it with my grandmother, and Shari's grandmother too... Hope you get out and have some nice times with him.
Nothing exciting around here, as usual. Finally able to get signed in on the FTE sight. Yesterday I could only look at old post' and my attention span (oo look something shiny) isn't that deep. Stayed inside, played with the dog "Rocky" and grabbed a guitar. I'm so ready for some camping and fishing weather.
We're setting a goal around here and we're heading that way, to be able to buy my 79 F150 4x4 (Ka'Bluey) back by this next winter. So far it looks like we'll be able to pull it off. Then I'll have something to keep me occupied, and possibly get into trouble. We've had a LOT of fun in that truck.
Good morning everybody.
Any big plans for the weekend Only thing I have so far is another dog rescue for Sunday afternoon, a 120 pound Shepherd that has been surrendered by it's owner, so the rescue is taking him. He' get whatever vet work that he needs, then a good home for the big guy.
Hope y'all have a good Friday, and home safe.
